Shure MVL/A Omnidirectional Condenser Lavalier Microphone (Black)

I purchased the Shure MVL for the purpose of recording interviews for short documentary. I was confused between this and Rode Lav+. But having used Rode's mic before, I found that this entry level mic by Shure scored better on all accounts1. The voice signature recorded is much better and crispier although this boils down to o personal preference.2. I feel Shure does an overall better job with the software that you can easily download on Google Play. It doesn't throw any bugs at you and does what it promises i.e. a good interface to manage recordings and sound levels.3. It does a fantastic job of eliminating background noise. I was recording in a rural fair and I don't think the interviews would have turned out sounding so well without the mic.4. It is certainly built better than the Rode Lav+. That said it is a delicate thing like all the other wired lacs, but you can be a tad bit more carefree with it than when you are using Rode's wired Lav.Cons:1. Would have loved if they provide a connecter with both input and output so you may monitor simultaneously.2. I have so far only used it with my android mobile and don't know if it is compatible with a DSLR.3. The clip they have provided doesn't do a very good job of holding the mic's neck in place. That's major oversight. It's quite useless.4. The price needs to go down. I think Indians end up paying a lot more.All in all, a good dependable alternative to the pricier and more delicate Rode Lav+.

I use it with my mobile to record myself singing while playing the guitar. Shure surely surpassed my expectations. If you are a thinking of beginning a social media career with this, trust me, you wont be disappointed.

I'm into video content creation and when it comes to getting a really good audio of a person speaking, it's not possible with a inbuilt mic. Agreed that there is zoom audio recorder but when it comes to just having a small mic which is really powerful. Really happy with the mic, using it with phone and camera and the audio quality is good for a Shure mic.Audio is good because it's omnidirectional, thus no extra audio and I agree that there is post production where things can be handled and this mic helps out as I already get a good quality audio so it makes the work in post lil bit easier.Now to the final point...the price, to be honest this is expensive but if you want to get that audio quality and can afford it then I recommend going for this, if not then there are brands like BOYA and Deity which gives lapel mics for as low as Rs.800 which are not bad.

It's a good mic and not as noisy as a few others. But I wish it would cost a bit less.

This I am using this with my laptop for calls, sound very good and very clean.

Good microphone. Works well for YouTube videos. Don't forget to download Shure App on your phone for customisation.

Lo he utilizado para grabar voz en off para videos y el audio es espectacular.Si lo escuchas del celular posiblemente no se oiga muy limpio, pero una vez que lo escuchas en la PC o audífonos se escucha muy claro y limpio. No se alcanza a escuchar el ruido ambiente (tendría que estar muy muy muy alto para que se alcance a escuchar).Las personas que he grabado su audio desde el celular lo usan dentro de un bolsillo del pantalón y no se escuchan ruidos (golpes) en el audio por mover o tocar el cable.Lo uso con su aplicación Motiv Audio, grabando en formato WAV, ganancia 8.0dB.Satisfecho con los resultados.

La qualità è veramente alta, pezzo consigliato, si collega perfettamente a cellulari o registratori permettendo di migliorare drasticamente la qualità delle riprese con un audio HD.Il connettore è quello standard per le cuffie dei cellulari, poi dipende dalla APP interna se riesce a sfruttarlo al 100%.il microfono è abbastanza "anonimo" se non fosse per una sperduta etichetta lungo il filo, quindi non levatelo dal suo borsellino in pelle per il trasporto altrimenti lo confondete anche con altri (se ne avete di più). Per chi deve fare delle registrazioni professionali con un microfono "discreto" direi che è decisamene un microfono da tenere in borsa. (alcuni professionisti lo definirebbero economico, ma parlando con loro confermano la qualità).Per chi si affaccia nel settore già inizia ad essere costoso, ma vi assicuro che il rapporto qualità prezzo mi ha pienamente soddisfatto e vi permetterà di salire di livello, prendetelo come un buon investimento.

This MIC it's exactly what you can imagine when you see the picture; it takes a clear audio, it capture a lot of ambient noise but, this is expected. I found the noise can be nullified quite easy if you use a good software to record the audio so you don't have to worry if you are thinking to use this for life streaming. The clip it's huge and doesn't holds well the mic so you may have to come with an sticky solution or be creative; however, the clip it's sturdy and you can use it on any jacket, shirt, etc.Remember you are buying a Shure so, being said, you pay a little more but I'm confident the time will tell me this is a good investment as I had worked with this brand (with different series of mic) since 1995.
