GD Hand Grip Exerciser Strengthener (Premium Adjustable Hand Gripper) Wrist and Forearm Strength Trainer

I must say it’s one of the best gripper on the market. Hand span can be infinitely adjusted with great precision. Spring tension is easily adjusted by front knob. There is no clicking sound as in many Chinese cheap copycats (avoid). Very good grip in hand - no knurling on front handle giving it a very good feel in hand. Simple sturdy and light construction -not too heavy as other GD gripper. Needs a bit of grease from time to time on the main nut to keep it running smooth but this is not a problem and it’s very easily done with perfect access. Best feature to me as compared to other grippers on the market is that the handles compress in parallel rather than at an angle as in standard simple grippers. This gives a great feel in hand and it’s properly ergonomical giving uniform action when compressing. Not the cheapest gripper but I don’t regret buying it. Great product from GD Korea.

Great kit, really happy with this. Ergonomic design, adjustable strenght. All previous devices I had were specific in power, this one adjustable, work even after you have injury.

I'm satisfied with this hand grip. Can be tough on your hands if you don't use gloves. Very solid and well made.

This is a quality premium product, the look and feel of it is just premium. It's pricey compared to the cheaper forearm scissor type grippers, but the quality is worth it. I can finally feel the pump and burn with these as opposed to the cheaper scissor type forearm grippers. I've been through my fair share of different ones but this is the one. Looking on the Korean packaging it looks like they may have different strengths, if they had one with a stronger spring or to level up with I'd definitely purchase as I can see myself maxing this one out very soon.

I bought this to replace a different make that broke after just a few weeks, This make appears to be well made, & is adjustable to quite a variety of strengths, what lets this one down for me is the lack of grip, it wants to slip out of your hand, it needs a rubber coating on the contact area. Hence I wouldn’t buy another at the price!

Great build quality, sure it will last a long time. 4.5 stars, as the handle would benefit from being larger or having some padding. I'm a ~6ft ~80kg man and cant manage all that much more than the minimum weight! Don't recommend for the young, elderly, smaller men or women who aren't especially strong. Do recommend for gym fanatics and strongmen. It ranges from 25kg to 70kg (at least according to their measurements). Weight is set by the spring moving up and down. KG is printed on one side and lbs on the other and you compare where the spring is to these measurements.

Bought as a gift for my dad in his late 70's who is determined to maintain his fitness and mobility for as long as possible. Suffering from years of hard work his hands are a little arthritic but this device allows him to maintain and improve the flexibility and maintain his grip strength. It's fully adjustable for all abilities so you can start off easily and increase the pressure as you improve if necessary.

Very good. Happy with the product - it's manufactured to a high quality. The red rubber grip slips a bit but can be pushed back into place. I'm trying to decide whether my grip has been getting stronger or the spring has already started to weaken after a few months of usage. I used my partner as a comparator and, despite never having exercised with the device, to my surprise they can now fully close the grip on its highest setting with their weakest (left) hand, which could certainly not do when I first took delivery!

I've had my GD Grip Ultra 70 exerciser for a little more than 6 years. It is very durable. I especially like how the grip handles stay parallel throughout the exercise. Both the resistance and the grip size are adjustable. The front black knob adjusts the resistance while the silver wheel adjusts the grip size. When the front knob is turned, the spring compression is changed, changing the resistance and moving the bolt forwards or backwards. That also moves the silver wheel the same distance which changes the grip width, which then must be readjusted. For instance, if the front black knob is adjusted 1/2 turn clockwise to increase resistance, that moves the bolt forward and compresses the spring. Then the silver wheel must also be turned 1/2 turn in the same direction to maintain the same grip width as before. Otherwise, increasing the resistance will decrease the grip width making it generally easier, while decreasing the resistance will increase the grip width which makes it generally more difficult. So, the key is to turn both the front knob and the silver wheel the same amount and in the same direction to keep the grip width the same while changing the resistance. Turning the silver wheel to widen the grip will also increase the resistance. This occurs because as the grip gets wider, the cam pressing against it to compress the spring moves horizontally and feels the full force of the spring. When the grip is narrower, the cam moves at a more downward angle giving a mechanical advantage over the wide grip when compressing the spring. It also means that as the grips move closer together, the required force to close the grips becomes less. So, the resistance level isn't linear over the full grip range, though this isn't obvious when using the device. Things that could be better: 1. The grips are hard plastic, and at higher resistance level might be a bit uncomfortable and a bit slippery. Workout gloves should help with comfort when needed and friction tape should help with slipperiness. 2. The front knob resistance adjustor doesn't stay set very well. It is just a nut on a bolt. When the grip is flexed, the nut moves forward and can easily turn on its own, changing the resistance. If you like to work with progressive resistance, that will undermine the effort. I wound Teflon thread tape around the bolt 15 or 20 times (it's thin) and then put the nut on. That gives it enough resistance to keep the nut/knob from turning on its own while still allowing it to turn easily for adjustment. I highly recommend this grip exerciser for its stable, parallel handles during use, and for its resistance and grip width adjustability. It has a wide range of resistance, though the lightest resistance might still be too strong for many women and boys.
