Outstanding water dispenser
I have had the u it for a few weeks now and have used it enough to review it. This is an expensive purchase however it is definitely worth it. It replaces my tea pot, sparkling water maker and original water dispenser. Very easy to use and It fits nicely on a countertop. It works as advertised. Highly recommend it

Excellent Countertop RO + Sparkling Water, With a Few Quirks
This is the only product we found that met both of our main requirements: Countertop reverse osmosis Built-in sparkling water dispenser Overall, it does a solid job at both. The water tastes great, and the sparkling water has a good level of carbonation—no complaints there. The hot water feature is also a nice bonus and is faster and more convenient than pulling out a kettle when you just want a single cup of tea. Our main complaint is how the sparkling water reservoir replenishes. If you pour a large glass and leave only a small amount of sparkling water in the machine, it will not start replenishing until all of the sparkling water is used up. This means the next person may only get a partial glass and then has to wait 1–2 minutes for it to recharge. This behavior happens even if several hours pass between uses, which feels like a design oversight. I’m also skeptical of the advertised 3:1 pure-to-waste water ratio. Based on how much water we see flowing through the waste line, it appears closer to the opposite—roughly a 1:3 pure-to-waste ratio. For anyone wondering: it’s easy to connect this unit to a larger CO₂ tank using an adapter. We did this and ran the hose into a cabinet to keep the tank hidden, which works great. One unexpected discovery: while using a third-party smart-home app, the Brio Q60 was detected and exposed a full control interface (TDS readings, filter life, modes, firmware versions, etc.), despite Brio not advertising any app or Wi-Fi functionality. This suggests the hardware supports smart features that aren’t documented or officially supported in the U.S. market. It doesn’t affect normal operation, but it was surprising.

Best overall countertop solution for sparkling water
We really like this unit so far. I chose this one because I really wanted something that dispenses cold sparkling water, I wanted something on the countertop, and I wanted to be able to hook it up with hardlines later. I was initially concerned about that fact that it doesn't add back any minerals to the water. That turned out not to be a real concern. The water tastes fantastic without minerals, and you can always add drops if you want. But I found it to be completely unnecessary. I was also concerned about it breaking or failing, considering the cost. We've had it for about 3 months now with zero issues. I think it will continue to be reliable. The screen and menu interface could be a bit better. There are some features in the manual that are missing in the actual unit; they must have deleted them. The setup is a little confusing and there are multiple slightly different instructions. Just remember that once you hook it up and add water, you have to wait a few minutes for it to filter some water before you can dispense any water through it for initial setup. It will make a lot of noises, and that's normal.

Not ready for the big leagues!
Hold off on buying this! This is product is a great idea but has many incredibly annoying issues. I hope to circle back and write a in depth review. Here are the main faults in my first week. To pour a glass of water requires 3 presses on the touchscreen. Sounds silly but it's a poor design. Top left of screen, then one of three sizes, then bottom right of screen. Zero chance you're doing this without looking. A better user interface could fix this with a customizable preset button. The user interface could not have been beta tested! It is rough. Clearly written in Chinese and translated..... Poorly. 2 error codes come on intermittently and without a clear cause. " Water shortage of pure water tank" and " water shortage of raw water tank" I have spent 2 hours on it without success. There's not an option to leave the screen on. Guest to your home will not be able to figure out how to use it. Intuitively. And forget about kids figuring this out. CO2 tank not included. I wish I at least was recommended to me at checkout. Perhaps the biggest issue, is this does not have the ability to connect to Wi-Fi. Which means most likely there is no chance of improvement or updates of any kind. I will circle back, after the holidays and decided if we are keeping this in our home.

Worth every penny
Works wonderful, water tastes great, and has not given me any issues. Not too bulky and fits in well with my other countertop appliances. Only draw back is I can only get 1 liter of carbonated water before I need to wait 2 minutes to pull the next liter. It is due to the water being both chilled and carbonated so I get it. I have a dedicated machine for carbonation and the Brio will not be replacing it when I want to serve guests but for just me it is a one stop shop.

Great idea, terrible execution. We kept it anyway.
We went back and forth on keeping this for the whole month of its return period. We ended up keeping it, but it was borderline. The idea is great, I've been looking for a countertop dispenser exactly like this for a while. The execution …leaves a lot to be desired. First, on the hardware front. For context, we did a “semi-plumbed” installation, i.e. we connected the wastewater pipe and have it just draining into the sink, but did not connect the water inlet and still refill the tank manually. This means the wastewater drains into the sink instead of being redirected into the tank and getting re-filtered over and over. It is not documented, but (in theory) this allows us to top up the water tank instead of having to lift it out and empty it each time, though when I reached out to the company for confirmation, the customer support person was completely clueless and had no idea this is even possible. The device is clearly not designed to accommodate such an installation: if you top up the water tank before the dreaded “water shortage of raw water tank” error, you need to RESTART the machine for it to “get it” that you refilled it. It must be using the actual connections of the tank as the signal to check the status again. That said, if we hadn’t figured this out, we’d have 100% sent the device back. We’re a family of three, and we need to refill the tank 3x/day! Having to actually lift it and refill it that often would have been incredibly annoying. Other hardware issues: - The 3:1 ratio they advertise must be completely dependent on the redirecting of wastewater into the tank and re-filtering it that happens in a completely non-plumbed installation. Given that our installation lets us see (and even measure) exactly how much wastewater is expelled, in practice it’s more like 1:2, if that. Glad we live in a state without water shortages or I’d feel really bad about it! - Drips from the same height for both cold and hot water which causes hot splashing that can burn! You literally have to hold the teacup up the whole time to avoid this, and the hot water dispensing is sloooooooooow. - Potentially insufficient remineralization: Water taste felt too plain, like distilled water (compared to our old Brita pitcher filter). Though we’ve now gotten used to it. - Comes without a CO2 cylinder with no recommendation about which one to get. Was quite hard to install until we realized that the track rotates, which made us wonder if we had bought the wrong type (we hadn’t). - Magnetic drip tray seemed cool until you realize how easily it comes off The issues on the software side are even worse, some of them bordering on comical. I used to teach software usability at MIT, and this device makes me want to send videos of myself using it to my old co-instructor to use as a case study — it is *that* bad. I’ve collected a small subset of issues below: - Poor efficiency * Interface has noticeably high latency * Two presses to dispense 150ml (5 floz), three for any other amount. Does not remember previous choice. - Temperatures * “Cold water” is not the actual coldest, no, that’s “For iced coffee” which doesn’t tell you what temperature it is! * Temperature presets are hardcoded with no way to customize. Seem to be designed around use cases * Ambient water confusingly comes out of the hot water spout * Hardcoded to F, no way to show C (just like the volumes are hardcoded to ml — a very odd mix of imperial and metric in general) - Poor overall usability * The screen confusingly shows *parts* of the current status on the home screen (cold water temp and filter status), but the status that actually matters (raw tank, purified tank, CO2 tank, etc) won’t display until you actually try to dispense water (poor visibility of system status) * Weird combination of 24h time + 12h time: e.g. 13:00 PM - Sparkling water * Carbonated water unpredictably runs out after dispensing a tiny amount and then you have to wait several minutes for more * Shows a slider for “heavy” or “light” carbonation but is actually a toggle between the two with nothing in between. Also, very small observable difference between the two. * Cannot select temperature for sparkling water, nor does it tell you what the predefined temp is - Other * The time setting UI is an exercise in frustration, with up meaning down and down meaning up. The latency makes it even worse. At least it’s not something you need to do frequently. So why did we keep it? Because despite the many frustrations, it’s still a countertop water dispenser that I can fill by pulling my kitchen faucet out and it filters, cools, and heats water to some pretty decent temperatures (high and low). The sparkling water is a nice bonus. Tip: If you, like us, are going to put this under a kitchen cupboard, get some adhesive caster wheels — they’re a lifesaver for moving it! You will need more than you think, as you’ll need to put some under the drip tray too.

Overkill but I wanted it
OK. I purchased this back in December 2025 as I was in need of filtered water. Yes I could have gotten a water cooler or something similar but this one caught my eye. Not only is it a coumter a cold water dispenser, it also has the capability of dispensing hot water and ambient water as well. There are multiple preset temperature selection you can choose from depending on your preference. Cold water get to about 39 degrees while hot water goes about 200 degrees. Keep in mind that the water does take time to get to those temperatures so you may be waiting a little while of multiple dispenses are made in a short period of time. The unit has two dispenser and the one on the left handles Cold water while the right side handles everything that's not cold. When dispensing water, a blue light will be lit up on the side your water will come out. This unit also has a sparkling water dispenser which is also dispensed on the left side. You do need to purchase a co2 canister which fits into the side compartment on the unit. The catch plate is very helpful because water dispense levels are preset. So if make a mistake on the cup size, the catch plate will help with some of the water. Options are selected on the touchscreen which is pretty responsive and in my opinion easy to navigate. There is main power switch on the back as well. The filter is rated to last 2 years and the menu options provides the filter status. I currently use the container on the back to fill the unit with water. All you have to do is remove the container, add tap water then place it back on. You will then hear the unit start to siphon the water and out it through the built in reverse osmosis. There is another option to have thebunit hook directly up to a plumbing line but you do need to have a separate line to allow for drainage. Going back to the features the unit does provide and indicator showing of the water is low in the container and or in the pure water tank. This is very helpful because you can refill before it's out.of water is its not directly plumbed to a water source. The refill tank is about 1.5 gallons and goes fairly quick for heavy water drinkers or for a family. I would say we refill the unit about 7 to 8 times a day and it's hasn't been hot yet so I expect that number to increase. The sparkling water is neat but also needs time to regenerate. I noticed that it does not regenerate until it has been completely emptied. So if it hold 12oz and you only use 8oz the remaining 4oz will be there until dispensed. Once dispensed then you will have to wait a few minutes to all the machine to generate 12oz of sparkling water. This is okay if not many or 1 person wants a drink but anything else becomes a waiting game. All in all I am happy with the unit. It is a luxury item and has a lot of bells and whistles that may not be suitable for all. There are other options but I can tell you the water taste very pure and that's what I wanted. Brio is known for great tasting water and having it come out of this machine is great and looks great. It is expensive but seems to he built well. I do which there was an app and the ability to dispense water according to my cup size instead of the preset fill options.
