Lianjindun Toilet Safety Rails, 350 lbs, Adjustable Height & Width

My mother has been living with me for almost a year and she has some mobility issues as she is 88. Like my father who passed two years ago (they were married for 67+ years, began dating five years earlier their freshman year of college!), she would refuse any item that is “relegated” to the elderly. They have always had younger friends as they couldn’t have children so they spent their first 12 years of marriage traveling the world skiing, playing tennis and such. Both of them would be mortified if I suggested any sort of assistance or aides to help my father walk or handles in the shower. I found if I just purchased the items and set them up, they’d end up thanking me as they realised once they have a new hurricane or the like their life would be that much safer, secure and comfortable. This leads me to my most recent purchase for my mother. The safety rails are fabulous. They are super sturdy and with a bit of creative work around, they fit perfectly behind the tank and did not rip the paper roll holder off the wall! Winner!!! The area the toilet is located is a tight fit and the paper holder has always had a bit of an awkward reach back to get it, but there is nowhere else as the other side is a glass sliding shower door. Mom’s mobile with her cane and slippers to help her stay balanced, but at night when she needs the loo, I am terrified she may fall or get dizzy standing from sitting, and between the tiles on every surface & the glass shower doors that slide, but aren’t sturdy to grab on to. I needed to make sure she is not just safe, but also comfortable. Later in the day, mom made her first trip to the bathroom not knowing I had installed. I expected a bit of a shout asking what was this doing there, BUT she came back to the living room and was so happy. She said they are super easy and strong/sturdy. She had no problem using them and no problem sitting or standing on her very first surprise visit. I am extremely happy with the results that this simple device has made my mother much more at ease in the bathroom AND I have slept so much better knowing she isn’t having an issue sitting or standing up. The only hitch, and it is not worth losing a star as it was the small space for our toilet, was having to place the back BEHIND the toilet tank instead of behind the lid/seat cover. Frankly it worked much better as the paper roll isn’t being squashed, the arms are still easily functional for mom to use and last but certainly not last is the peace of mind I have knowing we have taken another step for my moms safety! She’s had an emergency button in case anything happens, however she is not a fan of using it, so this is at least one small step to safer relief for my mama and some relief for my worries of her mobility! Set it up in a matter of minutes and my goodness this is great! Don't forget to use those little curved washers when installing the thumb screws. The washer fits snug against the bars and stops the screw from hitting that little rubber rim just below it. I really can't believe I waited this long to get it. Without the C clamps, it's easily folded and put out of way. I'm debating whether I need those C clamps at all, but I'll keep them just in case I do need them in the future. I have mine on the smallest width which is fine for me, but I guess a really wide person might need that width and the C clamps. It's very sturdy and I'd say compact even without the big feet. I even used it on small chair that doesn't have arm rests. You don't need to be a senior to see the utility of this. I'm thinking of getting another backup one or for other uses. It really is a godsend. I used to dread some days when I didn't feel strong enough to lift myself off my low toilet. I really have to do some leg muscle building. Great design and product. I'd like to know if there's replacement rubber covers. When covered with that white packing foam it didn't look so hosital like. Would love to have white rubber or light blue to match my bathroom that's washable. Get it, and on sale if you're having trouble getting up. I love this so much I bought another and found another absolutely wonderful use for it. I have a standard size bathtub with sliding doors. When I make this the widest it can be and the lowest with the exception of the 2 front which I set to 1 up above the lowest setting it sits perfectly on 3 edges and half way on the inside of the tub lip where the doors are. The other 3 fit fully and perfectly on the tub lip. The height is just perfect and doesn't interfere with the water knobs or the handle on the door. It serves as 2 perfectly sturdy safety rails on both sides when taking a shower. Just as you use to hoist yourself up off the toilet. You can hold the rails if needed in the shower as if you had an installed safety rails. It might be even better than the installed kind because you have 2 one on each side sitting on the flat surfaces of the tub itself. I'm going to feel a lot safer with this as I do sometimes do get suddenly dizzy. I used some removable painters tape to just cover any open holes so they don't fill up with water. That set up along with the smallest width shower seat and a lower suction adjustable shower head holder gives me all the flexibility I might ever need. I also have a few of those suction bars for getting into and out of the sub safely. In the tub I used the 2 lock in place C-clamp snap ons which I don't use for my toilet because I like to swing the handle out of the way to reach my garbage can or just easily remove the whole thing for cleaning. But for the shower I want a really snug fit and might even put an extra piece of tape against the wall for even added certainty it won't shift forward. Because I had a fall a few months ago, I think up safety things like this and that Innovations garden kneeler. This is a must have in my house because with it I would have been able to get up a lot easier. And I use that to exercise my leg muscles get up and down. I wouldn't with my left leg (only the right), but having practiced, I'm getting better at both and keep that kneeler just outside my bathroom in the hallway since it is thin.

This toilet safety rail has been an excellent purchase for my mom after her knee surgery. It was very easy to install, feels extremely sturdy, and most importantly, it makes using the bathroom much safer and easier for her. The adjustable design works great, and the handles provide strong support when sitting down or standing up. It does not feel loose or unstable at all, which gave us a lot of peace of mind during her recovery. I highly recommend this product for anyone caring for elderly parents or someone recovering from surgery. Safety equipment like this truly makes a big difference in comfort, confidence, and independence around the house.

Perfect for my mom who was visiting. Assembly was easy and I like that everything is adjustable. We have very little space between toilet and sink and this fit fine. One you set it up, it feels like there is a little wiggle to it because it’s not actually attached to the toilet. But it is very sturdy and was great for my mom who is 160 lb and not stable on her feet. It is also easy to fold and store. We had other guests in the house it it was not at all awkward like the ones with the seat attached.

Lianjindun toilet safety rails. Is sturdy and adjustable to various heights and widths. Very easy to put together. And the handrails are nice and big and padded. However the feet, including the suction cup feet, do not stick to the floor very well. Makes it unsteady if you only use one of the rails. We are keeping it because it does the job between the wall and the vanity. But be careful not to place it in a location where someone could use only one rail. It will tip over.

Wonderful and so useful. I was able to put it together myself without a problem. Very stable to use.

I bought this safety rail due to upcoming foot surgery that is going to keep me one-legged for several weeks. This item is surprisingly well-designed and made. All the pieces go together easily and adjust without a fight. The rails are adjustable for different widths and heights. Having a teeny-tiny bathroom, I appreciate that I can make the rails fit into the available space. They even came with extra hardware, I guess because that's a handy thing to have in case one piece drops and rolls away during initial set-up. Best yet, I can confidently lower and raise myself using these rails and only one leg. I am happy indeed with these rails, that take one bit of worry away during a trying time.
