PLANTERS Dry Roasted Pistachios, 12.75 oz Bag

Nuts always bring back Christmas memories for me. My father loved nuts, and we always had a large nut tray sitting out during the holidays for dad to snack from. On Christmas morning, he always had some packages of nuts amongst his gifts. He especially enjoyed pistachios. Back then, you used to be able to buy the red dyed ones. I will always view them as the *real* pistachios : ) However, since the red ones appear to be "no more," the natural ones will have to do. This is the second time I am purchasing these pistachios from this seller. The nuts in my first purchase were fresh, crunchy, and delicious. If you haven't already guessed, I inherited my father's love of nuts, and having these nuts around brings back happy Christmas memories for me ... even 60-70 years after those memories occurred.

best nuts ever for an affordable price

Purchased two bags on sale. Completely stale, soft, no flavor, and mostly salt-less. Remember, pistachios in shell usually have ~2-year shelf life expiration. My expiration date showed Feb.'24. Likely these pistachios were over, or close to, 1.5 years old. Buyer beware. At least they were not over roasted like another "overly" popular brand that sells almost everywhere.

I love pistacios, but cracking them out of the shells always destroys my nails. I'm willing to pay a little more for the convenience of unshelled nuts. This was my first time trying "dry roasted" pistachios, and they are good. Maybe slightly crispier than regular, and they have salt but are not too salty. I'd order them again for sure.
