American Airlines & Delta: No Problems
I reviewed another style of this same sherpa carrier--it's my 'go to' since I know that the two airlines I have flown with this carrier I've never had problems. On Delta and American Airlines, the carrier with Bear inside fits under the seat in front of me. A few trips ago, I began buying the upgraded seats. It costs me more but it's worth it. There's more legroom and as well I can board quickly and leave quickly, which helps when carrying a dog. I always buy a medium. Small of course too small for my dog. But the large is too big to fit under the seats--just note this that American Airline (and maybe Delta too) has limitations on carry one dog carrier size, so the medium is as large as you can go, at least with these Sherpa styles. A medium just fits my 12-14 pound chihuahua mix. Not the usual tiny chihuahua - he is beefy! He can stand up, turn around, and does well in this carrier. This one has more ventilation so that's a plus. There's only one pocket, which the other style I used had two, so I wish there were another pocket. I ordered one of those soft straps that you can pull wide to fit on your shoulder more comfortably. Carrying around a 12-14 pound dog doesn't sound like a lot but it can be awkward and heavy hurrying what seems like miles through an airport. It does help, though it's not ideal. Made by the same company. I did fill out the form on guaranteed travel for the other style I had and likely will do it with this one. Never had to use it so no idea if they really do honor it. Zips at the top. Zips at the front. The bedding part is thin but it works and he's pretty comfortable in there--he has taken naps in the carrier if I have it out before a trip, or if I need to use it for vet trips. This is a 'no frills' carrier - it's plain, it's simple, but I like it because I know the airlines I fly accept it and it will fit under the seats. The price is reasonable as well.

I'm super pleased with this carrier and my dog likes it too.
I bought this in the smallest size (15x10), and it's absolutely perfect for my 2.75 Chihuahua puppy. There's plenty of room for her adult weight of 4-5 lbs. She has plenty of room to stand up and turn around, and there is even room for a small, soft blanket. I had bought another fancier brand called Roverland and didn't like it at all. Their smallest carrier was just too stiff, large, heavy, and bulky. It also costs a lot more. I have been carrying her in the carrier with the strap adjusted to the longest length, across my body when I walk daily. She likes the visibility and is very content. It will easily fit under any airline seat. I did end up purchasing this padded shoulder pad, because the strap was digging into my neck and shoulder: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QGZ1NK6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 It velcros on and does the trick and is much more comfortable for me. I also purchased a short safety strap to use so that she doesn't escape when a flap is open: (there is a hook inside but no strap comes with it). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D961X5MJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 It works well. She can lie down when she's hooked up to it and she can't get twisted up in it. It will allow me to open the top flap and let her perch on the opening without being able to jump out. I would recommend those two accessories. The carrier is of nice quality, lightweight, and I love the zippered pocket at the end that can carry my phone and credentials so that they are easy to access. The only thing that I'm bummed about is that I paid $70 for the grey one a couple of weeks ago and now it's half price during Prime day. I threw the tags, packaging, and box away or I'd send it back and order the sale one. I like it so much that I'm gifting my daughter one for her dog, while they're on sale.

This carrier is as well made as the one I bought 18 yrs ago!
This Pet Carrier, which I use for my two Burmese/Tonkinese kittens, is exactly like the first carrier I bought and used for eighteen years for my first two Burmese cats. Because they are small cats, they both can fit into the carrier together, even as adults. I just needed a second one because they were being altered and had to be brought home in separate carriers. This one is the same excellent quality as the first. It is very comfortable and these kittens actually liked sleeping and playing inside of it when it arrived and I kept it in their playroom for a few months because they enjoyed it so much. These carriers clean up beautifully and I also put a pad in the bottom of them for added comfort, although it's not actually needed. The cats like them because they can see out of them and know that I am nearby, which is very reassuring to them. I highly recommend them because they wear so well!

This is a repeat purchase, which probably says it all.
I had been reading reviews and looking for a carrier when a vet emergency mandated an immediate local purchase. I found this carrier in a local feed store, and it was the only one that had the features I was looking for--manageable size (big enough for cats, small enough to carry), structured enough to not envelope an animal, but with the flexibility to get squished a bit to fit in unyielding spaces. I bought this (for substantially more than they sell on Amazon) and have been happy with the purchase. More to the point, the cats are happy with the carrier. I leave it open in the living room in a place they associate with play, and I often find them resting or sleeping in the carriers. I have three cats, and the two smaller (10 lbs each) cats have made vet trips in one carrier. The sturdy clip-on strap hooks over the headrest in the car, and I clip the seat belt around the strap (not the carrier body). The base has a velcro'd-in, removable fabric-covered board that can be taken out to clean, and a soft sherpa-covered removable pad for washing. I bought a two-pack of spare pads. These are machine washable, but come out a bit roughened up--I'd recommend giving them a hand wash unless they get dire. And the replacements are inexpensive enough to dispose of a badly-soiled pad if that seems necessary. These collapse flat for storage if desired. I'm just leaving them out for the girls to hang in so that a trip is less traumatic. Seems to work. I didn't hear a peep out of them during the last trip in. (Getting two cats in one carrier, however, was a bit of a clown act. I recommend getting both cats and the carrier in a small room with doors shut before you begin. I think my earlier shopping difficulty was trying to find something that would meet all my possible carrier needs, trying to find something convenience for a vet run AND comfortable for international travel with long layovers. Necessity taught me that the reality is we'll need this for short local runs much more often than longer trips, and if I need to, I can get something different. For today, this ticks all the boxes. If you're in the same quandary I was in, I can tell you that these are well-made, seem very affordable, and the cats are so comfortable in them they hang out there. Seemingly no negative associations. I have different colors in the event that I have to travel with three cats, so I can sort out who is where at a glance.

Great carrier, large cats happy
My cats (14+lbs) cannot fully stand in these, but still are able to comfortably maneuver around and settle in various positions. The mesh allows visibility and airflow while still making them feel hidden. Zip pocket is ideal for vet visits - papers, meds, etc. The straps are very sturdy, carrying is stable for a soft sided carrier. I will add, I have the same carrier from maybe 5-10 years ago, and this one is significantly more lightweight - hopefully the new materials hold up just as well.

Great dog carrier for the Airlines
This is the original brand that the airlines allow and it is well-made and holds together amazingly well I have been flying for 25 years with the same carrier for my small dogs until recently when my new little dog chewed through the zipper and I had to order a new one. Of course I got the same thing. Great item.

Zeca loves it! ๐พ
this is by far the best carrier we got for our Zeca! he fits nicely in there and he loves to be in it in public transport and on the plane! he canโt really stand as he has long legs, but so far no trouble with any airlines! quality is great compared to another one we had from an Amazon brand. i recommend to train your dog before in different scenarios and getting them in so theyโre comfortable when traveling.

Best cat carrier for air travel
I've had two of these carriers and love them, with one exception. Even the largest size (which I upgraded to a few months ago) fit under standard domestic flight seats, though it is cramped. It also fits well across the seat of a car, and the strap on the side is great for securing the carrier with a seat belt on longer trips. I have a 16 lb cat and he fits well inside the largest size and is able to turn around. He's taken 2+ hour flights and 6+ hour drives in it. When not in use, the carrier can be folded flat (the same way it arrives in its packaging). The back pocket is great for keeping tags, medication, travel bowls, treats, etc. I also carry a plastic oral syringe to give water on long flights/ trips. The strap is not the most comfortable and could use a pad instead of the plastic piece. The carrier holds up well over time, and I had my first one for several years before upgrading to the next size (the largest). The only caveat is that if you're not careful, and your cat is determined, they can tear the mesh on the side of the carrier. When I travel with my cat, he is often very mildly sedated, so it's not a problem. But there have been a few times he has scratched the mesh of the original carrier and the mesh began to barely tear. That being said, I cannot recommend this as a secure carrier unless you're confident in your cat. There is a loop for a leash in the carrier and my cat always travels wearing a harness/leash in the carrier (carefully supervised) so it's not a huge problem for me, but I always watch for it. The zippers, on the other hand, are very secure and I think even a determined cat would have difficulty escaping them if they're closed properly. If you're not going the hard-shell carrier route, this is the best carrier I can recommend, but try to catch it on sale.
