I bought this for a family member who recently had a knee surgery. The regular toilet is too difficult to sit or get up. I first thought maybe we can manage everything with a walker, but very quickly we found out it doesn’t work quite well. The walker moves every time lean weight on it. To help the person get up, it requires another person to lift the person up from the toilet seat, which is very inconvenient. I’m glad we ended up invest in this seat riser. It’s easy to setup and very stable to sit and get up. It makes the life a whole lot easier and she’s able to use the bathroom without assistance.

Nice try at the manual. Better than most. Parts have letter stickers but you cannot trust the directions. Correct assembly is to take one C armrest and connect an A at the front and a B at the rear. Take the other C armrest and connect a B at the front and an A at the rear. Keep in mind that the crossbars must be above the bowl. If the riser is left in place, the existing bowl seat cover cannot be lowered (obviously). Also leaving the bowl seat (and cover) up will result in cleaner operation.

Even though it’s lightweight, the build quality is strong, and it supports weight well without any shifting. Overall, it’s a smart and well-executed product that delivers comfort.

This toilet seat is made of heavy duty metal parts and is considerably better than many things I've seen marketed towards elderly people. Once assembled it's very sturdy, and the seat is comfortable for the average sized person. The padded seat is especially nice for elderly people. The grips on the feet are a good size and the padded grab bars are just the right texture. I like that the seat can be removed so you can clean it more easily. Where it could be improved: 1) The directions are written in poor English. I wish the companies that make things to sell in English speaking countries would employ a native English speaker or even just someone good at English to look over their directions. 2) The seat is in two parts, which makes it more cumbersome to assemble & remove and more difficult to clean. I realize it's designed so the seat can be expanded for a larger person, but if it's expanded wider then there's a gap at the back, which is uncomfortable. I think a larger person would do better to just order an extra large seat.

I ordered this raised toilet seat for my guest bathroom in preparation for my elderly mother’s visit. The seat itself is nicely cushioned, and the entire unit is very sturdy because it doesn’t wobble or shift. The adjustable height and width made it easy to get the right fit for our bathroom layout. Installation was tool free and took only a few minutes. Once in place, it gave my mom a strong support to hold onto, which really boosted her confidence getting up and down. She absolutely loves it and says it makes a big difference in her comfort and independence. Overall, this was a great buy. It’s well made, easy to install, and ideal for seniors or anyone needing extra support. Highly recommended.

From my wife: I would not recommend this. First, I will say that my husband found the directions to be very insufficient. He was able to watch a video, but the video moved too quickly and didn’t show proper angles, and he wasn’t able to get all the information he needed from the video. He felt the written directions were terrible. The good part of this seat is that it’s wide, and you can adjust the height fairly easily. What makes it unusable is that the seat comes in two parts. It’s split down the middle. When you sit on the seat, it digs in and it moves around. it’s incredibly uncomfortable, and not necessarily safe. The two parts of the seat are just not big enough either, making it more uncomfortable. I can’t recommend this.

Ordered this for my elderly father. He had no problem putting it together and is using it, reporting it has helped him tremendously. Nice quality, functions well.
