Our kids love this! (6yr old and 3) One of the strings pops out of place a lot but that’s the only downside. Is a fun starter guitar for the price! If you want to be super serious about it, then this may not work for you as it sounds a tad more like a ukulele. But we love it and have family worship time and our boys enjoy it! Seems durable too as it’s been dropped a few times

Very realistic and sounds just like a real guitar. It very much feels “real” rather than like a toy. You can tighten and loosen the strings on it. My 3 year old has dropped it from up on the counter and a small amount of paint chipped but otherwise it was fine. It’s the perfect size for him and he loves pretending he’s a singer.

I wanted to try out the Hape guitar because we already had a Hape ukelele that was very high quality (much better than a tourist shop one I purchased in Hawaii for a higher price), with a nice sound and was virtually indestructible after several years of heavy toddler use. This Hape guitar is also a very high quality instrument, almost indestructible for toddler use, and I'm very glad I bought it. I bought the blue version of the Hape guitar, if that matters. The sound is slightly "tinny" but overall pretty good for a "child version" of a guitar. I feel like I have to tune it fairly often but it's not too bad. The package includes some nice diagrams of notes on the guitar as a reference. My children like strumming and plucking the guitar and play with it almost daily. The neck is a nice size for children's hands.

This has been a great first instrument for our kids. The 26 inch size is perfect for our 4yo and a little big for our 2yo, but she still enjoys playing with it. It’s lightweight enough for them to carry around but feels sturdy, doesn’t sound like a cheap toy, and after months of kid use ours still looks like new. It can be a little difficult to tune and doesn’t stay in tune perfectly…especially because playing with the tuning knobs is apparently half the fun 🙈 But that’s okay for what we wanted. It lets them strum, sing, pretend to be the music teacher and experiment with making music without worrying about a real instrument. A really fun introduction to music.

Appearance and red color is awesome quality. In my opinion it is priced great & worth every penny. My 4 year old grandson wanted larger guitar (instead of the smaller ones for toddlers) this does not disappoint. Since he is also a Mickey Mouse lover I added a couple of quality made waterproof Disney stickers & he’s going to love this Christmas gift!

Bought this for my 3 year old for her birthday. I knew she was looking for something to just mess around with as she is three, and this fits the bill pretty good. The build quality is actually quite good for the price, and the materials seems pretty solid. However, and others have mentioned, it does not stay in tune at all. Within 30 minutes of basic strumming it's all out of whack. Pretty much not even worth trying to tune it. Again, for what it is worth I am happy with the purchase. If my kid decides to show a serious interest in learning the guitar, I would but something better.

This guitar really holds up. It has been put through the ringer but has not broken and all strings are intact. It is a little bit big for a toddler but still a good size. Would recommend!
