Teeccino Mocha Chicory Coffee Alternative - 11 Ounce - Ground Herbal Coffee That’s Prebiotic, Caffeine-Free & Acid Free, Medium Roast

I bought this to try as an alternative to decaf coffee. I still drink regular caffeinated coffee every day but have cut back and switch to tea or decaf later in the day. This sounded good like a more coffee-like chocolate tea. It's definitely more like real coffee than anything I have ever tried, but with a more tea-like mouth feel. It's very smooth and doesn't give me that dry tannin mouth or fuzzy tea teeth. It's light and flavorful and great as a summer coffee or a dessert beverage. However I would not describe the flavor as mocha. It is chocolatey but also very fruity. I can taste the dates strongly, sometimes stronger than the chocolate notes. It tastes and smells like a brownie dates bar to me, which I do really like. But if you don't like fruit and chocolate flavors together you probably won't like this. Also I wish they included a warning on the package about the potential laxative effects of chicory fiber/inulin. The first time I made this, I made it a little weaker than suggested (to my coffee preferences) and became very bloated and gassed up in a couple hours. Nothing came of it but loose stools the next day. I eat a high fiber mostly vegetarian diet and can handle fiber well and this still was a bit much for my system. Start slow and don't overindulge. I can handle it better now but two cups feels like the limit. All in all this is very good and I will be buying it again.

Love that it's a probiotic and it's caffeine free, I am caffeine sensitive, this is perfect for me, the Mocha flavor is delicious taste like coffee without the caffeine.

Delicious coffee alternative for caffeine sensitive individuals. I really like this brand. I make with a press and it has a very rich satisfying flavor.

This a great alternative to coffee.

First of all, I love coffee. And Teeccino is a welcome change of pace whenever I need a break from the jitters, overstimulation, and adrenal fatigue that can come from too much of the good stuff. I find this product satisfying and delicious when I need that break from real, full strength coffee. It's also nice to cut the strength of your morning cup of Joe by going half coffee, half Teeccino. And, yes this makes a great latte! The mocha flavor lends itself to a solid cafe mocha that I make with oat or soy milk, and the amaretto flavor is also a treat. While this product does not taste exactly like coffee, it has a comforting and rich taste and body that fills the void and satisfies the craving. Great to have on hand for visitors that don't drink coffee, but would like a unique warm beverage. Highly recommend!

I started drinking Teeccino after tummy surgery and I had to cut back on caffeine.. this is now 1 1/2 years ago and I'm still drinking it at I love the taste.. if fooled quite a few people with it who tried it and thought it was regular coffee lol.. these days I mix in a little regular coffee to get a little wakey wakey kick but it's been fantastic on my stomach and I will continue to drink it that way (that's why I have it on subscription).. I make a pot coffee in the morning 1 scoop regular coffee and 2 scoops mocha Teeccino.. perfect mix.. Hot or iced!!

I just love this coffee! I actually mix it in with my Hawaiian coffee for breakfast so I don't consume too much caffeine. It tastes great in the evening all by itself, especially if we have company and people who cannot consume caffeine at that time.

Schmeckt richtig klasse, meines Erachtens besser als Kaffee weil es nicht bitter schmeckt. Sehr nussiges, schokoladiges Aroma. Klare Empfehlung für alle die vom Kaffee weg kommen wollen!

The product arrived with a rip in it, spilling into the box. The packaging indicates it contains barley, an allergen not disclosed on the product listing. I was also charged an additional fee to receive the package, which I learn now is not only damaged and I'm allergic to it, but also not eligible for return.
