I have 4 of these wonderful filters now! 2 are used for creating water movement in the lower half of my 300 litre planted tank. The other 2 are used as filters in a 20L & 30L tank. Wonderful if you are keeping tiny shrimp & fry. The sponges just pull off the pump for a quick squeeze in some tank water before returning them. What could be easier?!! They have a large surface area & therefore plenty of room for mechanical & biological filtration. They are a perfect alternative to a wavemaker if you have problems with plants getting sucked in & jamming up the impeller! They have an adjustable flow rate as full power sends my shrimp & betta spinning round the tank!

Best little pump on the market. Combine it with fine round foam filters and it makes an excellent unit for a shrimp breeding tank. Not a clue what "Sheerness" or "Thickness" has to do with a review for a pump in the Rate Features bit.

I put clingfilm over the ends of the air pipes to reduce the flow and volume a little.

Only brought to use for the power head to go on another filter

I was disapointed that the socket on the item is 2 prong plug. If selling to uk and ireland really shound have 3. Apart from that is what i expected.

This also came with a 2 pin plug. No replacement so had to opt for the refund. They really should tell you this is not made for the UK. D

Half the components were missing so the pump couldn’t even be assembled and used. It also had a 2 pin USA plug not a UK one. Returned item and bought from a proper aquatic store.

Cela fait un mois que j'ai installé ce filtre dans mon nano aquarium de 30L (22L d'eau) et je viens d'accueillir mon betta plakat. Points positifs : - Peu de bruit, juste un vrombissement continue. L'aquarium est installé dans ma chambre et il ne m'empêche pas de dormir. - Assez petit et simple de montage/nettoyage. Les mousses s'enlèvent facilement. - Puissance réglable très appréciable. A la puissance minimale, mon betta plakat se balade comme il veut et va même faire des bisous au filtre. Le courant ne lui fait ni chaud ni froid. En plus : - Au démarrage il peut faire du bruit (le temps que l'air sort). Comme je le mets à la puissance minimum l'air a du mal à sortir. Je mets 10s un peu plus fort le temps que les bulles s'échappent puis je remets au minimum. - On peut choisir entre avoir un bulleur intégré ou juste un filtre (le tuyau en plus dans le paquet). Pour ma part, en tant que simple filtre ça me suffit. Mais l'utiliser en tant que bulleur peut créer plus de bruit. - Si le courant est trop fort, l'orienter contre la vitre ou contre le chauffage ou un élément du décor peut le réduire. En un mois il ne m'a pas encore lâché et il filtre bien mon eau. Mon poisson semple l'apprécier alors je croise les doigts !
