great "fix it" for jacked up ends of 2.1mm power supplies and whatnot. If you play with electronics these are handy to be able to screw wires into and plug into your newly crafted toys.

I used this for my car GPS power cable 5volt 2-wire and portable soldering iron 12volt 2-wire connections. Caution Label your wire connections ends either 5volt or 12volt otherwise everything looks great.

These connectors are ok, they are bulky and fragile and some are bent or come apart. they don't work well on smaller guage wire.

I use these connectors for all kinds of project I get into. I checked a bunch of online sellers and auctions, and this offering was the best price per item. You can just put bare wires ends into the terminals, but I recently learned about and started using crimp ferrules. Get a pack of ferrules and the crimp tool, and your installation of these barrel terminals will be even cleaner.

Durability is limited since they terminate in screw terminals so there is no strain relief, but I've sealed then with RTV and so far no issues. Generally these would be used it fixed wiring applications so the strain relief is probably not such a big deal for most users, but I'm salvaging systems with dead wall-wart supplies using oddball connectors, cutting off the connector and using these for "standard" 2.1mm replacement wall-warts.
