I am new into the home barista game but always loved the videos I saw of the bottomless portafilter pull so I bought this product. What attracted me to this product over the hundreds of other bottomless filters is that I liked how they advertised that they use real wood and that you can see differences in the wood grain in different batches. Upon receiving the product I was impressed with the quality of the handle (beautiful wood handle and arrived with no splits or damage) as well as how sturdy the metal head and the connection between the handle and the head feel. The only reason I took off a star is that I found that my pucks regularly got stuck easily in the included basket. Also, the puck always seemed to be on the watery side which always caused a mess when trying to dislodge the stuck puck. However, I switched out the basket for the original basket that my machine came with (which has a taper to it compared to the straight walled basket that is included) which I found works great with the head and fixed the two issues I mentioned immediately. Lastly, the included puck screen is very high quality and works extremely well. The only reason I haven’t used it more is that it is on the thicker side and is thicker than the puck screens I already had which changed my shot times when going in between screens. Since I can’t find where to buy the screen on its own so I have a few to switch between I have had instead had to stick with the thinner screens that I have more of. Overall, this was a great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality handle at an affordable price.

I was surprised with the great quality of this product! The handle is beautiful, very sturdy. The design of the handle feels great in my hand, not very heavy. Fits my Breville barista express! Great purchase! Highly recommend for price!

It arrived in a unsealed white box different from what the other reviewers posted so im suspicious that this might be a repackaged return item. Its also too wide for the breville bambino plus. It doesnt fully lock in. Havent pulled a shot yet but dont wanna risk it if it cant lock in fully. Also it doesn't have the logo on the handle and the mesh filter like I saw in other posts. I dont know what that mesh filter is for but it's cut very poorly with jagged edges and not fully circular

The quality on first glance seems good, however, this portal filter does not fit with the Breville bambino plus. It felt really difficult to lock into the Bambino Plus.

Usually not a fan of company logos on my products but for the price this portafilter works and looks so great in my BBE that I can't even knock them for it. The wood handle is also wife approved and will probably start buying some of their other products/accessories as well. Between this and the puck screen, can see a noticeable difference in espresso shot quality and keeps the BBE screen clean as a whistle now. Also just so soothing to watch each shot now.

This has been such a great addition. Using this on our Barista Express Impress It took us ages to get this machine right and when we thought we had, we got this bottomlessv portafilter. I was dreading setting it up. Boom....a few tweaks and it's just incredible. Highly recommended. It's beautifully made and looks and performs all class.

I kept looking at these portafilters for some time and never explored further. Finally, after having a few in my wishlist for months, this one came on sale so I figured I'd jump at the deal. My goal was to buy something "cheap" but that made me look fancy to the untrained Keurig sloth. I'm not sure what the difference between this bottomless portafilter vs others as this is my only experience with one. As others have noted, this is certainly not something you need to make great coffee. It just looks really cool. They honestly all seem to do the same thing to me so I'd look for one on sale. The first thing I noticed was the build quality. The wooden handle is quite solid feeling and looks like it will hold up to many years of use. The head is stainless and seems great. I did notice that the actual cup was super tight inside. I've used it a few times now and it's still really tight. I'm hoping this gets easier as it's used more. I also noticed some say the cup was "deeper" but I have not found that to be case at all. It is the exact same dimensions as my other ones and I didn't need to adjust my amount of grinds one bit for this. The disc is included and of very good quality as well. Some reviews complained that you didn't get the cup or the disc in the box but that's just not accurate. You get everything I show in my images and the ad is 100% accurate. The disc was something I was curious on as it seemed like a gimmick to me. You can see from my pics that there is a before and after of having run a shot through the machine. You tell me what one is the after picture. That's the point really...the disc does the job it's intended to do and that's to keep your machine clean as well as to help in spreading that water evenly over the grounds. Works for me! That little disc is a bit of a pain to get out though. I'm used to just knocking my used puck over a trash can. Now you have to be more careful and try to either tap the disc out or pry it up. Tapping it lightly over the sink seems to do the trick for me. It's worth the effort though because I always used to run another cycle of just water to clean the machine of old grinds. Now I don't need to anymore. The actual pour of the shot is fun to watch....once or twice. The novelty wears off fast. It works well but I did notice that pretty much every time, there is random spraying of the coffee making a bit of a mess if you're using a smaller cup. That could also be how I tamp, the amount of coffee I use or even the type of beans. Either way, it doesn't bother me one bit. Overall, if you want to look like you've upped your barista game without doing much or spending much, this little gadget is for you! You'll be the envy of all your Keurig friends. Pros: Works well Fun to watch disc keeps the group head clean Wood handle adds to nice finish. Cons: Not really something that will improve your grinds game cup is super tight in portafilter disc can be challenging to take out. (knock box recommended here)

Firstly, is this product necessary, no. You can still make great espresso without it. Is this product necessary's if you want to improve your skills, it probably is. It’s also a great product if you just want to enhance the enjoyment making espresso. I fall into the second category. That being said, this is a very high quality portafilter. Workmanship and appearance is superior to the original one that came with my Barista Express. The stainless steel is beautifully polished and the wood handle is very nice. I didn’t expect the wood handle to be as nice as it is. It has beautiful wood grain and it’s very smoothly polished. It feels very nice to hold and use. I didn’t expect it to be a much more satisfying experience to use over the original one. It fits very well into the tamping station and group head. I can’t comment on the basket as I have no interest in using it. I prefer precision baskets. I coated it in carnauba wax, which made it look richer and protects it from moisture. I really enjoy watching the coffee swirl into a beautiful mixture from the filter basket forming a beautiful Crema, as it fills my cup. Speaking of Crema, it sure seems like there’s more crema using a bottomless portafilter as well. That may just be my imagination though, Lol. I highly recommend this portafilter.
