Second one for our kids. They love playing with small things and the mini-sandbox fits the bill. It will 100% make a mess, so we typically set it up outside on a kids picnic table. I cringe at the thought of letting them use it inside though.

The idea is very cute. The box having a design and having plastic figurines in addition to the sand molds is great. The sand itself is a little more dry than kinetic sand but it still works well. I got the dino and the marine animal set for my 2 toddlers and they loved it.

My 4.5 year old grandson opened the package and was so excited. He love sea creatures so this was perfect. Not only did it come with the sand and little animals but it also came with 10 mini molds. He immediately began playing alternating between the animals and the molds. He told mommy he loved it so much.

docked stars because the sand was way harder than it was supposed to be. I didn't think this stuff could dry out! but apparently it can...or it was really old. sea creatures are way cool though.

The media could not be loaded. The sand itself is lasting and easy to clean up. Very well packaged and hours of fun. I definitely don't recommend for younger than 3, like the box says, because the sand seems too yummy for them. I know from experience since our smallest (almost 2) kept trying to taste it. Either way! Even for an adult with an office, this toy is quite therapuetic; haha.

My grandson prefers this to PlayDo! We build, roll, stretch and squeeze it to his every whim. Best played with on a drop cloth, as it falls into little bits under our play table. Lovely out on the deck in the warm weather. I use it with large cafeteria style trays indoors at the kitchen table. Our three year old grandson looks for it first thing on entering our house.
