I didn’t even wait to be asked for a review. This soap is authentic African Black soap like they make it in the motherland. It’s not uniformly black, hard, shiny and beautifully shaped with plenty of froth and added fragrance like the fakes that are masquerading about. Again I say, it’s the REAL DEAL. It is a huge size, over 500g so for the price, they have VFM down to a T. I cut a small piece off with my table knife and one shower was all it took to further confirm it’s authenticity. I cut a few bits, popped them in a bottle of warm water and let them dissolve overnight. The next day I used that as a cleansing shampoo for my scalp. It was perfect. No sulphates, parabens, yadda yadda yadda. My natural 4C hair and scalp have no more product buildup and that healthy sleek shine is back. I would highly recommend this soap.

Extraordinary soap, all natural ingredients producing a rich and creamy lather that completely rinses off the skin leaving no slimy residue - absolutely squeaky clean. The block is huge - I cut it into five generous bars making it very good value. It can be a bit messy but using a soap saver pad helps to alleviate this.

I’ve actually been using this African black soap for a couple of years now but I never used it on my face because another brand (bought in shops) was too harsh for the skin on my face. I started using that brand because I developed some raised whitish lesions on my face; tiny but spreading and obvious. Anyway, I stopped that brand and started trying other things instead, steroids creams, creams, peels, scrubs, even had laser treatment. I went to SKiN, an NHS dermatologist and a private dermatologist in my home country (Nigeria). SKiN and NHS had no idea what they were and NHS told me they would keep spreading and there was nothing I could do, which was devastating to hear. The dermatologist in Nigeria thought it was diet or infection-induced. I tested for everything and was clear. I cut out cow’s milk and ate cleaner to no avail. Skip to my most recent purchase of this soap; I noticed it said to rub the soap on problem areas (like a cream) overnight. Without holding out much hope, I used on my face, wary of getting burnt. Instead of getting burnt, 3-5 days later, these things I’d had on my face for 8 years mostly cleared! I was/am ecstatic and still can’t believe it. This soap is super-high quality obviously, but not only that, it apparently works miracles. Deserves 100 stars 🌟.

I really love this black soap, most definately the best black soap i have tried and will continue to buy. I love the formula (traditional formula in my opinion). I have super sensitive, allergy prone, eczema/ acne prone skin, this soap has helped majorly with my skin problems, it does not irritate or sting just leaves your skin feeling soft and cleansed. Really great after removing make up, it takes off all traces. My 10 year old daughter also suffers eczema seasonally, this soap is gentle enough to use on her skin and it has really benefited her too. Its a huge block of soap, lasts for ages and at a good price for natural, organic ingredients. Very happy 👍

This is a great product. I have super sensitive skin so I mix this with zero double cream to soften it a bit. It does stain so watch out for that. This was selling for 14.99 last month so I’m confused why it’s not 19.99??? A £5 increase is crazy.

This soap is amazing! So natural and pure. I have tried many natural and glycerine free soaps and this is the best one so far. It has no added fragrance and has a rustic look and feel, but don't be put off, it's the real thing! I only got it yesterday, but you can see, I am impressed already. We have skin problems in the family from allergies to acne to eczema, and so far everyone is happy. I have noticed that you don't even need to wet your hands before picking up the bar to use it - if you rub it around briefly in your hands and then put it down before wetting them, you get a wonderful soft lather and the bar stays firm and dry - something that others were complaining about in the reviews was that the soap bar went musy and therefore messy. I cut my big block into 5 good size bars, and this is going to last the family all year I expect. I intend to update this review after a few weeks to report on changes in skin conditions, other than that it feels immediately so nourishing and moisturizing. Do give this a go, I wish I had found it when my children were just babies.

This is a fantastic product, I've been buying from this brand nearly ten years. Their packaging has improved, the price has increased but the quality has not been reduced. And now comes with a scrub pad. Suffering with acne it was important I use a soap like this and keep consistent, this soap really washed away th dirt and can double up as a light exfoliater. I dice them up into cubes and put it in the soap dish, use only only the face but can be used for the whole body, even a shampoo. Need to keep it dry after use to ensure it lasts longer. Longevity is brilliant regardless. Fantastic product and I'm a happy customer.

I always buy from this company for a few years now. You get a really big block which is good and last long. I just cut what I need as I go. This really does heal skin conditions! Me and my husband love it.
