Says what it is, gluten free as no wheat is used in making tamari unlike regular sit sauce. Extreme unami makes it a great seasoning. Price has gone up a bit in the last few months, but hey, groceries under the orangina came down the first day in office didn't they. The 30% rise in grocery costs just be fiction.

My sister has celiac and has bone and liver cancer so this being gluten-free organic and totally suited for her totally awesome!

We use this mainly to make a marinade for smoked salmon and love that it is gluten free.. Good flavor. Excellent as a marinade.

Gluten-free isn't everything - Tamari is a derivative of soybeans, which means it has a farily high volume of glutamic acid. Gluten is a protein to which some folks are allergic, but gluten is 20% glutamic acid, an excititory neurotransmitter, high volumes of which are toxic to folks with autoimmune disorder.

This soy/tamari source has a very good, pronounced flavor. I compare it very favorably to products by San-J San-J Tamari Premium Soy Sauce, 10-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) . Do keep in mind that this contains no preservatives, so it needs to be refrigerated after opening. It is also a good idea to have a separate smaller container from which to dispense the tamari on a regular basis, as the large container this ships in is a but unwieldy for kitchen use (I actually use a left-over container from an earlier order of the San-J tamari).
