Constantine MFV (BD)

Fantastic movie. I love how this film holding nothing back. Constantine was written extremely well and bounces off everyone with his sarcastic charm super well. The story itself is extremely captivating and the gore and blood is just the cherry on top. Perfect for anyone who loves deep stories and dark themes.

THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR CHILDREN. Of course, Constantine isn't for kids, period. That said, this is a fantastic movie, touching lightly on many of the things that make Constantine such a compelling character.

Excellent

This is an animated movie that is in part a backstory and part its own stand-alone story separate from the live action series that aired on NBC a few years ago. It gives a backstory for Constantine and Chas, in which Constantine must save Chas' daughter from a demon. Matt Ryan reprises the role of Constantine again, but in this version, Chas is British instead of American, and none of the other characters from the series (that I can remember at any rate) make an appearance. Overall, I think it is a good story. It is a lot more violent than the series was (and it was pretty violent) and they definitely amp up the sex and swearing. Given that the character was brought into the Arrowverse, with appearances on Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow (which Ryan will be a series regular this upcoming third season), it is pretty easy to accept the character that what was in the series is different than what you get now. Had this come out shortly after the live-action series ended I think it would feel more off. For those who get the 4k disc, it looks and sounds very good. At least as much as an animated show can look good in UHD. There are no extras on the UHD disc, but on the regular blu-ray there is a making-of feature, and then a 20 min Wonder Con panel discussing the movie, the animated CW Seed series and the future of the character in general. Decent for what is there. I would not call this a must see, but if you are a fan of the character, it is worth checking out.

I've been a Constantine fan for bit so even though I am only scratching the surface I knew that in getting the animated ones or at least one of them considering the other one it was a showcase would be worth it. I didn't expect it to come along with a DVD but let's be fair I have the time I should be reading how many discs will be included into these things. Either way it's a nice surprise and I'm happy to have this.

As it's been said, this movie is very gory. It shows NR on Amazon, but it's rated R for a reason. There's language, violent content, sex (although no actual nudity that I noticed). So not for the young'ns. That being said, this was a really good movie. You really get a better understanding of Constantine and where he came from. Another strong addition to the DC Animated movies.

las adaptaciones animadas de dc han superado a las versiones live action, está película es 100% la esencia de Constantine, buena animación, muy recomendable
