Skin Tac is a Fantastic liquid adhesive used to keep my CGM in place
I have very delicate skin and the adhesive that Dexcom uses on the G7 Sensor and the included squarish over patch aren’t strong enough to ensure that my CGM Sensor stays in place for the full 10 days. After thoroughly cleaning the area with soap and water in the location I plan to place my Dexcom G7 Sensor, I clean the area again with an alcohol wipes. After completing the cleaning process, I use one Smith and Nephew Skin Prep wipe in the same area and let it dry. I then lightly use Skin Tac liquid adhesive where the G7 Sensor will be inserted. You must wait for the Skin Tac to dry to a tacky consistency on your skin and a little Skin Tac goes a long way. The bottle I have in the photo is about half empty and I have been using it for almost three years. I deploy the G7 sensor on top of the Skin Tac Adhesive and follow Dexcom’s instructions given to ensure maximum adhesion of the Sensor and then follow their directions for applying the includes G7 over patch. Unfortunately, even with using skin prep and Skin Tac prior to deploying my Dexcom G7 Sensor and their over patxh, the adhesives uses by Dexcom on both their G7 sensor and over patch won’t keep either attached for more than 3 to 4 days before falling off. None of the CGM Sensors stay in place for the required length of time due to the adhesives becoming damp for a variety of reasons like sweating due to the summer heat and high humidity, sweating heavily due to frustrating “hot flashes”, taking daily showers or baths using either hot or cold water and any type of soap, swimming in a pool or sweating due to exercise. The Dexcom adhesives on the G7/G6 Sensors amd over patches are in no way waterproof or water resistant. The Libre CGM system that also uses a sensor and over patch has the exact same problem but is harder to use due to how extremely small nature of their CGM products aren’t waterproof or water resistant either. Even though you follow the directions for drying the sensor and patch immediately after getting it wet, the sensor and over patch fall off within a few hours afterwards which is always within 2 days of applying a new sensor and over patch when they both should stay in place for a full 10 days plus an additional 12 hours the sensor continues to work after it expires so you can change it at your convenience. Almost 3 years ago, I began searching for a better over patch that I could place over the newly inserted CGM system. I tried about 20 different over patches and medical tapes sold on Amazon and finally found a winner that stays in place for the entire 10 day sensor period and it also works well with Skin Prep and Skin Tac. After I place the Dexcom sensor and over patch onto the desired site following Dexcom’s instructions, I also use a waterproof adhesive over patch made by Lexcam which was purchased from Amazon. It definitely grips the Dexcom G7 sensor and both the Dexcom and Lexcam over patches and works with both the Skin Prep and this Skin Tac liquid to provides additional adhesion and protection for my fragile skin. The adhesives from the sensors and both over patches stay in place and don’t cause skin irritation or blistering of my skin. The Lexcam over patches made for the Dexcom G7 Sensor are waterproof and are the easiest over patches to apply (IMO). If too much Skin Tac and/or skin prep was applied, I use Smith and Nephew Adhesive Remover wipes (purchased from Amazon) to clean the area around the Lexcam Dexcom G7 over patches. The remover wipe is fantastic for easily removing adhesive residue from any areas where you don’t want it. The remover wipes are also essential whenever the CGM sensor and CGM patch plus the Lexcam waterproof over patches need to be removed after the CGM sensor’s session has expired. The adhesive remover wipe quickly dissolves the adhesive from both over patches and the CGM protecting your skin from being stripped during the removal process. I use the same remover wipe to clean up any leftover adhesive that might be left on my skin after everything has been removed. This Skin Tac liquid adhesive product is a lifesaver. However, I don’t recommend purchasing the Skin Tac brand of adhesive remover wipes. They seem very ineffective whenever I have tried using them to remove Skin Tac or any other type of medical grade adhesive product.

Puts the stickiness to sticky!
Having problems keeping those darn medical devices on? This liquid was the solution to many pods and Dexcom staying the full time. The cotton tip does put excess amount so we just dab it on the side a few times. Drying time is quick roughly wait about 15-30 seconds, application is quick and easy with the swab end. Effectively works on keeping those darn devices on! Odor is very very minimal, I don’t want to say there is none but almost none existent. Bang for your buck money wise. ( probably last us the entire year and some!)

Works Great
I have a insulin pod and a sensor that I use the skin grip patches on. Unfortunately recent patches were not sticking to my skin. Tried this Skin-Tac and no more adhesion problems. Wait until it's tacky and you'll have no problems. Works great with bandaid too.

Great product for sensor cover adhesion.
Does a great job keep my Libre 3 plus sensor covers in place. I can use sensor for 15 days without the fear of it falling off with Skin-Tac!!

Better as a flux for soldering.
I found the pine sap and alcohol was somewhat sticky. It was not strong enough for my use. ACTUALLY IT WORKS GREAT AS A FLUX FOR SOLDERING!

Sticky, strong, and a sensor savior
For those who struggle to make their costly CGM sensors stat put for even a full seven days without having to ratchet strap the things to their skin, this stuff does the trick! For anyone who sweats during a day of hard laborous work. For swimmers, runners, and anyone who doesn't want to be wasting their money away on stupid looking stickers to put on overtop of the stupid sticker of the sensor that just doesn't stick. A single layer of this stuff lasts the whole 10 day sensor session of my Dexcom G6 CGM, and even at that point I will end up stretching the sticky Skin-Tac goo like Stretch Armstrong when ultimately swapping for a new one. The sensors might work for sedentary slackers, but for those working and sweating every day either by way of our skilled labor or strenuous exercise, they don't stand a chance once you add in the showers to scrub clean. Once I used this stuff that all changed, like night to day. The cost is so minute and the amount of trash/waste so much less that it deserves it's own silly ESG score for sustainability. To give a little context as to what I mean, if you can recall a time ever staining some sort of lumber after sanding it, the amount of wood stain in onr single brush stroke is more than enough to apply a second layer of this stuff for added stickiness. I received my bottle with about a 2½ year shelf life marked on it from the manufacturer and if I only use it one time for each sensor I don't think I'll make it through half of the bottle in that timeframe. With that said, I do apply an additional layer after the first once is tacky. I also will use it for giving a bandage that may be in an awkward position to stay put a much stronger hold as well. I know they make even stronger stuff for medical institution use, however the cost of that is astronomical in comparison, and if you need more hold than Skin-Tac, then you might need to just have a surgeon sew whatever to your skin permanently at that point. This stuff works, doesn't have much of a smell (a faint solvent smell from the isopropyl alcohol and rosin that are its ingredients but nothing even remotely close to what a painter is going to have to clean his brushes with), and is sensibly priced to be a great solution for this needing to stick stuff to their skin and have it stay secured without straps ;)

Great skin adhesive!
I started with the Skin-Tac wipes but was frustrated with how they left sticky residue behind on my hands when applying. We were using tweezers to handle them, which helped some. We got the liquid for easier use and more quantity for the money. My husband helps me apply my CGM and patches. He loves the control he has with the applicator. Also, the liquid seems to stick better. Not sure if that is due to better application or technique. I was a little concerned by comments from others about difficulty getting the bottle open. When I opened it initially, I had to apply a lot of force but it broke free by hand without any damage to the bottle or lid. My husband hasn't had any trouble reopening the bottle after several uses now. Highly recommend this formula. I will use the remaining wipes for travel.

Works amazing!
This was recommended to us for my mother-in-laws continual glucose meter that she kept ripping off. This is 1000% worth the money to help those things stay on, especially when working out and getting sweaty or just catching the meters on your shirt and pulling them right off. Once the meter was removed her skin wasn't covered in a ton of sticky goo either! We've recommended this to everyone we know who wears CGMs
