nothing is more important than the verb tense
if you understand the in-depth meaning of verb tenses, you will really know what people are talking about, what they really want to tell you. I think verb tense is the most important grammer amoung any other grammers(noun, adj, prep...), and this book you must read. Because it covers a lot of very detailed stuff about verb tenses, it will make you finally understand the real meaning of people's talking, movies or tv shows's dialogue, etc. I like wathching movies and TV series but sometimes I am confused about the dialogues but this book is going to help you overcome it.

Excellent! It's well thought out and explained.
I have spoken English as a second language for decades. I had so many unanswered questions until I read this book. It's worth every cent that I paid for it. I am very satisfied.

barely use it, but when we need it, we love it
This is a book I bought for home reference. We BARELY use it, but when we need it, it is an excellent resource. We mostly refer to it when comparing English grammar to how other languages work - the kids are learning Latin, German, and Spanish.Great book to have on hand. Written for English-manguage-learners who need to write. Perfect for quick explanations and giving excellent examples.

Very wordy and a few mistakes.
Can you tell me if you understand what this means?Page 73To this point all of our examples of past perfect tenses used in sentences with adverb clauses have had the past perfect verb in the main clause. However, the past perfect verb is actually more often used in the adverb clause. The explanation is very wordy, but I was willing to deal with it since I wanted to go into deeper to master English tenses than other beginner's grammar books, but it was very challenging to finish the book!I found a few mistakes and wanted to share them with the author, but there was no way to find his contact info. So please let me know anyone knows his contact info!I'm disappointed about the quality of the book, but I would still recommend this book if you're serious about mastering English tenses! The author or the publishing company should interact with readers to improve the book!
