Why do stores carry the original bubble yum gum with sugar and sandy texture, but discontinue selling the smooth sugarless bubble yum ?

I suspect that the better textured sugarless variety has been discontinued from Hershey's along with the even better sugarless peppermint bubble yum. Many candy dealers no longer offer either of the sugarless varieties. Sources you find now are probably selling what is left.
