I have a 7 year old that is really into planets and all she is asking for for Christmas is a telescope. Will this game be to hard for her?

I play it regularly w/ my 8-yr old daughter, who generally loves it. Her only difficulty is in keeping track of the fuel usage when playing w/ the advanced rules--this is an extra step that is difficult to remember at times. There is also a lot of strategy involved w/ maintaining a cache of spare fuel stations and knowing when to place a fuel station vs. not. She has stranded herself multiple times by not planning enough in advance.
