Great OEM Fluid for Trim Systems
This is the only fluid I trust for my boat's trim system. It keeps everything running smoothly and prevents corrosion. Easy to pour and doesn’t break down like cheaper alternatives. If you want long-lasting protection, this is the one to go with.

After action report. Not a duration test.
Supposedly ATF IV is equivalent but this isn't red. It's a light amber color but barely smells like ATF. So one can only assume it's better especially with all the additional properties it's states it has. I would figure hydrolic fluid would be called for instead of this thinner fluid that gets bubbly by naturally trying to work the solenoid shaft in and out.( Trim up and down) ATF is for automatic transmission clutch disc lube. Once bled by raise and lowering then topping off in the up position at least 4 times. It seems to be working. Old oil was dirty so I cleaned it out with a rag instead of carb/ brake cleaner. 95 Mercury 115HP Tower of Power Required 2 of these smaller bottles with a hair to spare.
