Good guitar, annoying frets
This is a very well made guitar, nice fit and finish except for one small run in the finish on the back of the neck joint out of sight. Very nice tone, crisp and loud. I prefer the tone of a Mahagony guitar over rosewood and the laminated construction of this model lowers the price and I don't think it reduces the quality of the sound by much if at all. I'm sure I might hear the difference if I had a solid wood guitar in the other hand but I liked the tone of this one. I have played guitars at all price levels over a 60 year period and I liked the tone of this one.The issue was the frets. They are thin and have a funky shape so when you slide up the neck your fingers have to get over these speed bumps which I did not personally care for. This was not an issue for garden variety strumming just sliding leads which is not the most common use of an acoustic guitar. The neck is slightly thicker than the most common width at the nut which is better for big hands and finger picking. If you don't care about the frets, its worth the money and a nice looking instrument.
