Guardog Top Notch Hard Adjustable Skate Guards - Colorful, Scented and Color-Changing Designs

The tropical fruit color is beautiful. It’s definitely more pink than the product photo was but I love it!! They smell just like rainbow sherbet ice cream. My blade is a 10 1/3 & they barely just fit. The gap is 3/4 inches. If your blade is any bigger these will not work for you. They were kind of a pain to put together & there’s no instructions but it wasn’t hard to figure out. Overall I’m happy with my purchase. They seem to be made well!

I have purchased this twice since my daughter lost her first pair. I loved them so much the first time I came back here to replace them. The quality of the gourmand it great. They are scented so beware if you are sensitive to smells, but it definitely helps with some of the smells that come from the ice skate themselves. We love the color of the Tutti Frutti and it is so easy for the child to get on and off by themselves.

Where do I start this review?? I absolutely love these skate guards! They are really pretty and they color change!!! When I’m in for my ice session, my skate guards turn purple from the coldness of the rink which is so cool. I’m 16 and I’ve skated since I was 3.5 years old, and these are probably the nicest guards I’ve ever had appearance and durability wise. My skate blades are around 9 inches long, and all I had to do is cut down one piece from each side. The guards are also really easy to assemble which Is a good plus. The only bad thing that I have on these guards is that there’s a big noticeable blue blotch of what looks like dye on the side of one of my guards, but all that matters is that the guards do their job so I don’t really mind it. I definitely recommend this purchase, and I will buy another set of guards once these wear down.

I loved them once they are worn down. The building wasn't complicated just took some effort due to how tough the springs are. Be aware of the length on your blade as it doesn't fit all sizes. They are pretty easy to get on and off now but at first it took a lot of strength to pull them off. Also they still are scented despite being in my bag for 10 months.

honestly cute, they fit my Jackson 180 skates size 8 well! they required me n my bf to put them together it was easier with two people so we did that but they are cute and red white and blue

These are great guards if you know what to expect! In my experience, they do change color--I leave them next to the entrance to the ice, and they change from blue when I leave to green when I return. The color change is subtle, though, especially under the lights. They do come in two pieces and you will have to trim the hard plastic to fit the blades, especially shorter blades. I used an exacto knife to mark the spot where I wanted to cut, and then a combination of various other knives to actually saw through. I think if you have a utility knife, it shouldn't be too hard--I got the job done with an old kitchen knife. The guards come with a small insert telling you where to cut based on blade size, but I looked through some YouTube videos before just measuring, marking, and cutting myself. After stressing about it for a long time, I realized it doesn't matter if there's a small gap between the pieces, because it will still elevate and protect the blade when you're walking on concrete. I do store my skates in Soakers-esque products (absorbent cloth around the blade), though, as I've heard (but not experienced) that storing blades in hard guards can trap moisture and lead to rust. Overall, I've found these guards to be durable and great for a beginner like me!

Ordered these in the “Sprinklz Multi” color. Specifically checked to make sure these were unscented, because I noticed some colors were and I’m not a big fan of scents. They are listed as unscented, but when they arrived they were labeled as “birthday cake scented” (can confirm, they are VERY scented). Returned for a different color.
