Sigmas 100-400mm contemporary lens is fantastic at the price, however Sigma don't supply a tripod collar. They want around £120 for something that should be included when purchased. I refuse to pay for a name when there's a suitable alternative and this is it! It fits perfectly and with a long foot it's easy to balance. At less than 1/2 the price of the OEM it's a no brainer!

This is a bit of an afterthought of a purchase. I bought my Sigma 100-400mm lens about 6 months ago and generally it has been used either hand held or on a monopod. very occasionally on a tripod. The whole outfit seems a little unbalanced on the tripod with just the camera as support, hence the purchase.First off, it does seem a little angular when fitted, where the Sigma version is nicely smoothed off with much better aesthetics. So it should be at £100 more than the iShoot version.Neither version rotates, which is disappointing, as there are fittings out there which do. But it is what it is.With the lens, bracket, and camera body, this makes for a sizeable lump. You do require a pretty sturdy tripod to cope, and that is something to take into account. I have two tripods, one of which is a budget lightweight and totally unable to handle this at any significant extension. On my better tripod, a carbon one, it is steady as you could wish and gives confidence in windy conditions.The long bracket enables easy adjustment to get optimum balance.I am pleased with the collar and glad that fitting is easy to do as it will not live on the lens but will be added as required. There are some reviews which mention scratching on the lens barrel, but having fitted it a couple of times I am inclined to think that this may have been lack of care.So far so good.

All the positive reviews of this product gave me a big green light to go ahead and Buy it . Initially when I saw a Delivery date on the outside of 24 th March I thought !! COVID / BREXIT/ DELIVERY TIME from China . I received it I Month Early !! It fit square balanced on JOBU GIMBAL head , I dont have to move it a mm which allows for rapid set up . ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Paul IRELAND

It fits the lens like a glove. Quality part which u cant buy from sigma

Looks like it will fit well - and it does, except there is no padding on the inside of the device where it grips the lens. This has left unsightly marks on the lens barrel. Other collars I've had have he'd felt on the inside, but not this one. Cheap and shoddy.

The Sigma 100-400mm is a wonderful lens but without it own lens collar. The iShoot collar is designed to fit the slightly convoluted lens barrel. The collar is an excellent piece of engineering and really well finished. The Arca plate is longer than standard so that it can be adjusted on the tripod ball head to achieve balance with the camera body attached to the lens. The end result - a camera and lens that do not cause droop.

Was looking for a mount and found this one.A little bit sceptical because of the price,an original Sigma mount is around about £100 more.When it arrived tried it straight away very pleased.Perfect fit very happy

Why Sigma sell a telephoto lens without a tripod foot is beyond me, except that it gives them the chance to undercut the competition's price and increase revenue from users buying their collar/foot. At about 1/2 the price of the Sigma version this is very attractive and even if you don't use a tripod, having a foot to attach your camera strap to (and alleviating strain on the lens mount) is a bonus but it has a couple of design flaws that might just be important to you.Firstly, although the collar is a good fit on the lens, it is rather narrow in places because it has to allow access to the switches on the side of the lens and focus distance scale at the top. This leads to the second flaw - you can't rotate the lens inside the collar so moving from landscape orientation to portrait isn't possible.I still use the collar attached to a gimbal on my tripod but the lack of rotation is a major issue for me and I am looking at alternatives.

My copy of the mount has the line just very slightly off. If you have OCD, it's annoying. But otherwise mount works perfectly, fits nicely on a tripod (and the two screws sticking out at the bottom helps prevent from accidental slide off tripod mounts.) and the long arca-swiss mount helps you reposition so you can balance the weight in the middle. Great if you use this lens to shoot anything on a tripod.

This lens collar support tripod mount ring is well made, very sturdy, and fits the Sigma 100-400 lens perfectly. I'm very happy with it.
