Is the strawberry freeze flavor as good as the original strawberry pedialyte powder packets?

As this is a matter of opinion, and not that of fact, personally I find these more flavorful and whenever I switch back to the regular they taste weaker.

it is 50 cals and 12 grams sugar i use it in a 16 oz mug and refill the mug several times a day but only use one packet per day

Does one powder packet mix with one water regular size bottle

I agree with the previous answer that it is a bit too sweet at the water to powder ratio. I don’t know if this is to make it more palatable for children, or if most people, through marketing studies, have shown a preference for this level of sweetness. Or perhaps athletes prefer it when they’ve completely expended themselves. I just dilute it to my taste. We are all unique, so I’m glad there is enough in a packet to adapt as needed. Even when diluting it, having extra electrolytes compared to the original, it is sufficient for most of us average people w/average levels of active exertion, & enables us to adjust the dilution as we wish.
