A friend of mine recommended buying The Missing Link supplement. I am so glad I followed her advice! It has only been a few weeks since I started my dogs on this supplement but I can tell a major difference in there coats. One of my dogs has severe allergies in the warm months. He scratches, licks and rubs constantly. He had rubbed a bald spot on his back and it looked horrible. The allergies were causing his to get chronic yeast problems on his skin and ears. I have been getting him shaved because of the constant bathing I have to do to keep the yeast and scratching a bay. Shaving him let him dry quicker and helps his skin breathe. Within a few days of him taking this supplement his skin started to heal, the yeast went away and he quit scratching. Within a week his hair started growing back on his bald spot on his back. It is almost completely grown back now. I am sold on this product! The only other thing I did which I had been doing prior to giving this supplement was taking him to the vet for a shot called cytopoint. The shot works for the itching but never helped with the yeast. I am hoping this supplement keeps working and he never has to have shots again. If you have pets this supplement is worth every penny.

This is a truly amazing product. It helps me to keep my 12-year-old kitty, Sherlock in tip-top shape. He has a urinary condition which requires him to have a subscription diet for life. Because these vitamins are in powder form, I have discovered that I can mix them into Sherl's wet food by adding our filtered water to form a gravy, which is his fave. This way, he laps up all kinds of extra moisture, which is exactly what his condition needs (he normally doesn't drink enough water). Of course, I sprinkle some vitamins on his dry food, as well. He just gobbles that all up, too. Would you believe there is more?!?!?! Sherl's left eye used to drain constantly in the inner corner near his nose. Pet parents may be familiar with this kind of thing. Since being on these vitamins, this drainage has completely disappeared! His eyes are bright, he is comfortable and happy.......and I am over the moon!!!

One of my dogs was having trouble with his digestion because he started tooting. The were SBDs. So I bought this for their coat and digestion. My dogs are 12 and 18 lbs, so I only need to use 1/2 tsp /day on their food, so the bag for 2 dogs has lasted me 2 months. And it was very reasonably priced to begin with. My dog stopped tooting. I can't say it did much for my older dog's coat. He has dry skin. But I liked it enough to place an order for 2 bags of Missing Link Blend, which includes not just coat and digestion, but also hip and joint. I'll put in a review for that after I see how it does. Re: flavor, my don't don't seem to mind it, so I guess it's ok.

I was a little skeptical about how well this would work. About a year ago we changed our 10 year old Blue Heeler's food which was a huge mistake and she scratches constantly and has bald spots from her scratching. She also started really smelling bad like a filthy dog smell that we couldn't get rid of w/o bathing her constantly which I know you're not supposed to do. She never had the doggy odor before at all either. We tried multiple remedies but this product is definitely working the best so far. We went to a no grain food to help her skin which helped a little but this is really helping much better now that we've combined efforts. We have had her on this diet of no grain food (chicken and blueberry actually) for about 3 weeks now along with this powder. I put 2 tablespoons of powder on her food every meal with a little warm water to make it stick to the food. It can be very messy - so high sided bowl is best. She isn't horribly picky but she eats this pretty well now that she's getting more used to it instead of just dry food by itself. The hair is now growing back beautifully even in the REALLY bald spots where you couldn't even see tiny hairs at all. I was afraid she'd be bald in these spots forever. She's scratching a whole lot less and seems so much happier. I haven't used but about half of the bag so far but just ordered a different version to try next - the Joint & Hip to help her hips since she's getting older and can't jump like she used to. Let's hope the skin keeps improving at the same time with this new formula.

If your furry friend has been having skin or digestive issues, I have to tell you about this stuff. My cat has serious.. serious.. skin allergies. Dude was losing his fur, bald spots, bleeding and raw. He is ancient.. I don't want him to live the rest of his years miserable and he wasn't getting better. I tried some homeo pet stuff and it didn't work. The Man told me about Dinovites he had heard about on the radio, but they're pretty expensive. While looking for Dinovites, I found The Missing Link. Great reviews, half the price, and seemed to be exactly what my feline friend needed. I've only used it for less than a week now and I have a different cat. He is happier, he isn't going psycho from scratching all of the time, and he hasn't thrown up in a while. He can curl up and sleep in peace now and really seems to like the supplement added to his food. If you've got an itchy friend with bald spots (not human), this might be worth a try for you. ETA: I had to come back and edit my comment after using the product for a longer amount of time. I took my cat off of the supplement after about 2 weeks, I believe. The first 5 days, he was so happy, energetic, and not so itchy. After about a week and a half, I was working from home and he started getting itches that would be so consuming, he would act like he was having a seizure from scratching so intensely. He fell off one of our high kitchen table chairs many times, not even realizing that he fell and would keep scratching. I took him off and he spent 3 days in a dark room sleeping in a box.. only really lifting his head and giving me a lil meow when I would come check on him. I was honestly thinking he was preparing for the time to come.. not because of the supplement, because he is ancient. After 3 days of not seeing him, he came out and acted normal again. The itching is still there, but better than before I started the supplement. I'm going to give him some oatmeal baths and see if I can wash the scabs off over time and help his skin. I believe the healing process is what is bothering him so badly now. The Missing Link helped his skin and coat, no doubt. Glad I tried it for the time that I did, but I'm not sure what the deal was.. if the seizure-like moments were a reaction to the supplement or something his body was doing at the time. I definitely believe that it helped him for the time that he was on it, though. There were quite a few cat owner reviews that said the product just didn't work out for them, but pups seemed to do amazingly. It might work better for the canine babies. I changed my stars to 3 because I won't continue the product, but I do believe it helped while I used it for a short time. His skin is no longer bleeding from the insane and constant scratching and his hair is thick again.

I have a dog with a very sensitive stomach, so she has to be on a special soy food that doesn't have many nutrients. So I decided to try this supplement for her, because she frequently has itchy skin, and also tends to be constipated. This works great, has resolved the constipation issue and decreased her itchiness. Plus I feel better knowing that she's getting all the nutrients that she needs, and that the glucosamine is protecting her joints from future damage. I also used this with a previous dog that had terrible dry, flaky skin, and this did wonders for her. Her fur got shinier, too. It does result in your dog having slightly fishy breath, and if your dog has a heavy beard (like mine), the powder tends to kind of coat the beard, which is gross. I wipe it off with a paper towel, or I put yogurt on top of it (the powder, not the dog's beard), which results in less mess (and a happier dog). One note: Since this has fiber, you MUST start off with a small amount and slowly increase it over time - otherwise your dog will get an upset stomach.

I have a pitweiler. He is approaching 10-12 years old and I noticed one year ago he had a strange black growth around his right eye. I took him to the vet who told me my boy required surgery on his eyelid. I didn’t want to do that, it seemed a little extreme for a growth that didn’t seem to be from an injury or infection and also didn’t cause my dog any discomfort. He could close his eye completely but just seemed to have a little fluid and no irritation. The growth was bulbous and had a name which I used to research alternative methods to cure. I found someone online recommending this product and I am floored with the results. After two treatments the growth is half the size. I continued using the supplement, mixing it in his food (he doesn’t like the taste) and watching him eat, it’s been three weeks and it’s gone. He seems a lot happier now. I give him a dose every week or two to make sure he still has it in his system. Great product. I wish I saw it earlier.

Great product. I have used for my cats for a long time and I will keep on administer it to them on a regular basis as they definitely love to have it with their food. The improvement in their coat condition, for instance is perfectly evident, and as well as being more satisfied with their meals, they seem to be a little less eager to try an overeat.

I have been using the missing link for many years now. It was recommended to me by my vet after my dogs were continually on meds for ongoing upset tummies.It is a miracle product for them. I tell everyone about. I can only buy it online now, from the USA, and only hope I can continue to purchase this amazing product, without it my dogs would always be at the vets!!!!
