Very High Quality Medical Dictionary...HIGHLY Recommend
Wow...I asked AI for a medical dictionary and this one was the top recommendation. Now I see why. First it is a THICK volume...125,000 entries it says. The font is very clear and easy to read with terms in color and the text black. The book is filled with color photos, charts, graphs, and sections where the explanations on certain important entries have their own dedicated box for in-depth coverage. This really deserves better than 5 stars...Exceptional!

Medical Dictionary That's Perfect for Healthcare Professionals
I am using this book while doing medical coding. This is perfect for both students and medical professionals. There are around 125,000 entries with tons of illustrations. The dictionary has thumb index tabs, tables, and appendices. It is easy to read. This dictionary also comes with a code for 1 year free access to DorlandsOnline. I HIGHLY recommend it!

A great Christmas present for a neuroscience major. The genuine authority. No AI hallucinations.
My granddaughter is taking the MCAT this summer so I thought this would make a good Christmas present. I had one but from the 1980s, so a little too far behind. Sure enough, she sat right down with it to look some things up. It's gratifyingly heavy. Still the standard.

Excellent reference
If you are looking for a comprehensive medical reference, this is excellent. The full colour plates are superb, and other diagrams and photographs illustrate key terms and systems. Be aware: This is not a book to carry around in your purse, or even your backpack. It is a big heavy hardback which ought to last for years on your desk or shelves. Recommended.
