Great finish!! Expensive but worth the price.

My first time using Walrus Oil Furniture Butter. I applied to a black walnut cradle I made and it was super easy to apply and then buff out. Had one area where the glue hadn't been completely removed so I sanded that down and re-applied Walrus Oil and it's perfect. Love the warm tone on the finished cradle.

This came on time the container it is in is a plastic, but it is a very good grade of plastic so I’m certain that it will be durable while protecting the oil inside of it. I’ve also used that on a couple projects now. I got the impression it might be more durable than other types of oil products. I don’t believe that will be the case. I’ve used it on several large cutting boards and it’s perfect for that. I don’t know how it might hold up on other things like furniture for example. I’ve done woodworking for 40 years and I would not use this on furniture. There is a bit of transfer several days later in the way that mineral oil or things of that nature transfer to your hands or clothing, etc. I didn’t take a lot of time to buffet thoroughly so there’s a chance that it can work, but it seems very much like a mineral oil mixture with something in it similar to a wax.

My excitement was quickly beat down by the cheap seal when I screwed off the lid. Big, big disappointment!! It’s not easy to remove, nor does it come off cleanly. What a mess. Clean it up and pay a packaging engineer to develop a user friendly seal. Won’t buy again. I will buy Atomic oil because they have it together. Good luck.
