White Sage was NOT used by Vikings and European Druids and mystics. It is not even native in their part of the world. White Sage is native to northwestern Mexico and the southwestern US. White Sage can't even thrive in Europe and Scandinavia because of the climate. If you're going to comment on the rituals of other cultures, do so correctly. Europeans and Scandinavians primarily used common sage and juniper in many of their rituals.

Is the seller Indigenous?

If they were Indigenous, they wouldn’t be selling sacred medicines. It’s common practice for Indigenous people to trade or gift sage, but never sell it. It’s obviously well known that white sage is being heavily poached to be sold by non-Natives and they’re contributing to white sage becoming endangered. Obviously this “small business” needs to be educated on cultural competency. What this company and hundreds of others are doing is so disappointing, but not surprising since they continue to exploit Indigenous lands for their own gain.
