Every bit as good as an Aeroccino4 -- with a tank that's separate from electronics
The ~$120 Nespresso Aeroccino4 Milk Frother I purchased in late 2023 died in February 2026. While that device worked fine, it was building up a burn mark that would not scrub-out. I hand washed the device every day and air dried it. Therefore, I had to search far and wide to find a viable replacement -- and was not willing to spend over $50 -- especially if it's only going to last ~2 years. This arrived and is very easy to use. It's nearly impossible for the milk to spill over, unlike the Aeroccino4, as it has a massive tank. I prefer this design as it separates the electronics from the tank. Any forthcoming "Aeroccino5" would learn from that! This way the electronics are isolated from being exposed to water, and therefore likely lasting much longer. If Nespresso never does this, then one could imagine it would be that they prefer people to buy new units every 2 years. Anyhow, the only complaint I have is the same for all other units I've seen -- and that is that they should produce a colored ring inside the tank. For example, a blue ring for "min" and a red ring for "max" as it's hard to see the line without enough light. Also, since I full my 32 oz Yeti up with 16 oz of frothed milk, it requires me to run two cycles. It's harder to see the line when the previous frothed milk is covering up the "min" and "max" markings. Otherwise, while I never timed the Aeroccino4, this unit appears to froth the milk faster, and does every bit as good of a job. This is why it receives the coveted 5 stars! I just hope that it last >2 years.

Cool Touch, Removable, Easy Clean
We have been through a few streamers and even more frother options in the past few years, but this beats them all! We absolutely LOVE the actual cold-to-the-touch shell and the removable basin is over the top. It's super easy to clean and almost indestructible. I feel hard-pressed to find a better all-around machine than this for any of my needs. This little machine is powerful enough to blend up a cup of coffee and cream and foams the ENTIRE cup into rich velvety foam in the time it takes me to find where I left my cup ;). We've hot and cold frothed, streamed, or just mixed up milk, half and half, heavy cream, espresso, cocoa in this last year and we add granulated sugar, syrup, and even chocolate chips to our liquids multiple times a day (like 4 on a slow day), but this lil machine hasn't even blinked. The kids've dropped the metal tablespoon in during a mix more than a lot of times as well and the kids always had a bigger reaction than the frother. This lil thing just smacked the spoon out of its way and kept on going. That said, the inside is still just as clean and scratch-free as it's first day as well. It's so nice to be bulletproof. Our kids (6-13yo) live for cocoa and are constantly helping brew up lattes, but other machines were large and uneasy for little hands to handle. We've had non-cool-touch kettles and, boy, don't even get close to those or you'll come back with contact burns. Many other "cool-touch" were more like "cooler touch", which wasn't bad, but for sensitive hands (mine) they were still too hot to hold. This is absolutely cold to the touch on the insulated sections even after multiple (we've made 8 in a row!) back-to-back-to-back sessions and makes it very easy to hold with both hands. Yeah, if you balance it by the bottom or manage to hit the very top edge for some reason, it'll burn you really good and fast, but the cool section is so large that you'll, honestly, have to go out of your way to get burned when using it as intended. I often have to use both hands just to pour a cup (because of my hands not this macgine) and almost always have something between they're machine and my cup, so it's never just pick up and pour a few inches away, but even so I've NEVER had an issue with my hand getting even warm, losing my grip, having problems with its full weight or managing to get enough leverage to pour the last drop. I've had all these problems with every other machine I've come across, so it's refreshing not to fight with my coffee in this basin. I didn't think the separated base and basin would be so much lighter, but I can't stress this enough. This basin froths the same volume as most other machines, but leaving the mixing mechanism in the stand REALLY lowers the handheld weight. We use ceramic mugs, but this is lighter than our mugs. I initially bought this for the fact that we were able to remove the basin and place it on the table (or hold it lower) to pour in our milk so our shorter eyes had no problem seeing how much they're pouring, but I've found I do this just as much, if not more, than they all do - again because it's half the lift height. There's no need to pull the whole machine to the edge of the counter so your blurry uncaffinated eyes can see in it at dawn without every light in the house on, either. It's a win-win-win all around This separated basin also makes it almost waterproof. We've lost 3 machines to washing issues or spills on top of the machines that just didn't make the cut, but this is just a metal basin with no plugs, no outlets, no sensitive coatings or inner workings. It is so great! The base has an attached cord, so no drips are getting on the plug or in the outlet by accident. The gears are completely contained, so you can't spill into the machine. You can even toss the basin in the dishwasher! It's basically a coated metal cup, so we just rinse between most mixes as there's no buildup or burned-on bits we've had with other ceramic-coated machines, either. So beautiful. Don't be put off by not seeing gears between the basin and stand - the frother sounds by magnet! Amazing. About cleaning, the frother is metal, too, so it'll stay in its slot magnetically, too, but it must be popped on as well like others. We made the mistake twice of not getting the frother bit all the way locked in. There's nothing worse than having to either toss a great-smelling cup or dunk your fingers in a hot brew to get that bit back in. Other than just chucking the bit into your brew, there's no trouble, though - you won't bust it. The magnet holds it decently, but if it's not popped all the way in, it gets thrown halfway thru is cycle. It's super easy to pop in and out to clean it, though,(or when you dishwasher it), but remember click it or you'll kick yourself. This has multiple frothing settings including cold foam as well as just mix, so, regardless of your fluffiness, you'll get the perfect blend every time. The hot mixes might be slightly warmer than little ones can chug, but it's no hotter than a standard store-bought cocoa. This definitely does not boil your concoction, so it cannot heat up as hot as a standard kettle could, but it is very much the expected hot "sip it - it's hot" temperature for any of the hot options. Full, half, and no foam warm blend options all heat to the same temp, but cold foam gives you straight from the fridge temp impressively whipped up frigid foam. Don't get me wrong, this won't cool your already warm drink, but there's no extra heating, so if you need room temp or lukewarm, it also won't increase its temp with the blending. I may be a blind user, but I find myself counting beeps instead of watching the light bounce around the display. Either way, though, any user should be able to easily identify which setting it is on. These are press-type buttons for selecting and power, so the kids've, of course, pressed off-center and pushed the machine slightly trying to turn it on, but it has decent antislip feet, so it never goes far. The buttons are not hard to push (even my bent up arthritic fingers don't hurt to start it), but like all covered buttons, push on the center. Overall I can't find anything I'd rather change about this machine and can't wait to gift one to my sis. This has all the features other machines do (except the extra large capacity you can get), but surpasses them all in its usability and and just plain durability.

After 2 months the frother is not working correctly.
I have had this frother for about 2 months. It worked great for the first 3 weeks or so. It now has been going down hill since then. I like to froth my 1/2 N 1/2 for my coffee. The first few weeks with 1 process the cream was a thick foam and would make the coffee a light and fluffy that would last until my cup was finished. I have been having to run the cream through the froth setting 2 times now and it is no where near the thick foam that the frother would create when it was new. The cream is now flat in the coffee after running the frother the 2 times with a lighter foam. The price for this product is not worth the quality I was hoping for. I started out with a frother where the whole unit was attached and after rising it out so many times the electrical part of the unit was damaged by the water, so I thought I would try this one because of the separations of the unit.

The perfect milk frother
This is the best milk frother I’ve owned by far. It works perfectly, with all types of milk (I’ve used oatmilk, soy milk, almond milk, and heavy cream). It’s very easy to clean, durable, and makes smooth, thick foam. When you know better you do better, and I could have saved myself money and irritation looking for this years ago, instead of buying past frothers that, despite my best efforts to not get the bottom wet, would get soaked through and die. This makes thick warm foam in under 2 minutes, steamed milk in about the same, and you can barely hear it because it’s so quiet while it’s on. I highly recommend it.

Works as advertised!
I've been using this for about three weeks now, and I love it & use it nearly every day. I mostly use it to make hot chocolate (it's winter as I'm writing this)--after I warm up the milk, I throw a little powder in there, run it another minute, and voila! Hot cocoa with minimal mess (I love that you can throw the cup part right into the dishwasher) and no need to use the microwave and risk accidentally burning the milk or boiling it over or whatever. I also don't need to deal with cocoa clumps--the result is smooth as butter (iykyk). I've also used the "foam" setting and I was surprised by how much foam it could make with nonfat milk--it was like having a nonfat cappucino. If I have any complaints, it's only that this frother is unlikely to last super long--it's mostly plastic, and it doesn't look the most sturdy/well made (In fact, the first one I ordered was damaged in shipping, which looked pretty easy to do with the thinness of the plastic). One good hit or drop (if you have cats like me this is a very real possibility), and it's toast. But so far it's doing well despite daily use, and I love the automatic-shut off for whenever I want to make a latte or other drink with hot milk.

Never frothed from day 1
I had this for only 2 days. The first day it under performed but managed to create some froth despite being on the high froth setting. By day 2 it wasn’t frothing at all no matter if it was whole milk, half and half, or cream. And it stopped heating the milk. I got better froth from my 20-30 dollar all-in-one frothers or a hand frother. Returning it. Buyer beware!
