I bought this phone for my daughter in September as I didn’t want her to have a smartphone just yet, and I’m so glad I did. The T185 is exactly what we needed – simple, reliable, and distraction-free. The dual SIM feature is handy if you need flexibility with networks, and the phone works with all major carriers. The 1.8" screen is small but perfectly clear, and the buttons are easy to press – great for younger users. It’s super lightweight and compact, which makes it easy for her to carry around in a pocket or bag. Battery life is excellent – she only has to charge it every few days, thanks to the 1000 mAh battery. She also enjoys using the FM radio and torch, and I feel more at ease knowing she has a way to contact me without internet distractions. This mini phone is surprisingly useful. It’s very lightweight, easy to carry, and perfect as a backup device. Call quality is clear, the keypad works well, and the battery lasts a long time for everyday use. The build quality is solid, and it even comes with earphones. Great value for the price!

There are only two words to describe this phone... ABSOLUTE CRAP! 1/ The ringer volume is low and is non-adjustable. I don’t carry my phone around with me when I’m in the house and I’ve missed several calls because I’ve just not heard the phone ringing since the volume is so low. 2/ There is exactly the same problem with the alarm volume, this too is very low and is also non-adjustable. Not only that but the alarm only sounds for 15 minutes before timing out and it’s not the first time I’ve slept right through it. 3/ Text messaging is the worst possible! The message is not displayed on the full screen but confined to a very narrow vertical slot and this makes it awkward to read. That’s bad enough but replying is even worse, all you get is a tiny bar at the bottom of the screen to type in the reply and there is no overview to check over what you’ve written for any mistakes, you can only send it as it is or else delete it and re-write it. As well as this, the phone is set to default to starting each sentence in lower case letters i.e. “abc.” To start a sentence with an upper case capital i.e. “Abc,” then you need to go into the menu to select this function but this only holds good for that one single sentence, at the end of it, the setting reverts to the default “abc” and the next sentence begins with lower case letters. I've also discovered there is no "£" sign. There is a "$" sign but definitely no "£" sign and for a phone that's sold for use in the UK, this is gross negligence. 4/ The real big problem I found was the charging of the battery. The battery was down two bars and, using the charger which came with it, I plugged it in. It took well over 4 hours to charge up those two bars. That’s bloody ridiculous! If you need to go out early in the morning, then you really need to charge your battery the night before, if you don’t... You’ll miss your bus! As did the people who designed this particular bag of nails!

This is a great little starter phone that we got for our daughter aged 10 as an alternative for a smart phone. It's really light weight, comes with a fully charged battery and I think it's good value for money. The camera quality isn't amazing but for the money spent it works fine. The size was perfect for her, she was able to navigate the options pretty quickly and I was amazed to see she'd figured out text input within a minute or two. The only reason we've rated it four stars is because my daughter says she'd have loved a front facing camera and I asked her to provide the rating. She loved that she could listen to radio stations straight away!

Dual sim senior phone. Compact ,easy to use and unlocked to all major 4g networks. Fits oh so easily into any pocket and is light weight, unobtrusive and very portable .It has a built in torch ,mp3 player and a little FM radio as well. The memory holds up to 200 phone numbers. Battery life is enduring as well. Neat little phone. I love it and am sure many other people will as well.

This phone seems like a good first phone for children. It’s compact and fits nicely in small hands. The camera works well for simple pictures, and the sound is clear and loud enough. The hands-free feature is also handy for listening to FM radio. Overall, it’s a very practical and child-friendly phone.

This so tiny! It works but we got it for my elderly Dad who has Alzheimers as it seemed it would be easy to use. It is too fiddly for him but hopefully the carers can use it .

What a great value little phone. It's marketed at seniors because of the large, tactile buttons, but it's also great as an emergency phone, a 'work' phone, or a 'going out' phone - you can still make calls, but you can't get distracted by apps and it doesn't matter so much if it gets lost or stolen on a night out. Overall, this is a well-designed, easy-to-use, and practical phone. I'd definitely recommend this.

Ho acquistato questo cellulare per una persona anziana in famiglia e posso dire che è stato davvero una soluzione azzeccata. I tasti sono grandi, ben visibili e comodi da premere anche per chi ha poca manualità o problemi di vista. L’audio è sorprendentemente forte: si sente nitido anche in ambienti rumorosi e l’altoparlante è potente. C’è il tasto SOS ben visibile che aggiunge molta sicurezza, oltre alla possibilità di memorizzare i numeri importanti per le chiamate rapide. Le funzioni sono essenziali – niente fronzoli da smartphone – e proprio per questo è facilissimo da usare, senza perdersi nei menù. La batteria dura parecchio, quindi non bisogna preoccuparsi di ricaricare tutti i giorni. In definitiva, è una scelta perfetta per i senior, ma anche come telefono di emergenza da tenere in casa

Ve lo anticipo, il prodotto è buono. Procediamo per gradi: - Imballaggio 7/10 Una semplice scatola blu priva di grafiche con il solo logo del produttore. Va benissimo così. All'interno della confezione troviamo il telefono, il caricabatterie e, ovviamente, la batteria. Nel manuale è presente anche la lingua italiana. Viene fornito persino un adattatore per le SIM. - Formato 9/10 Guardando la scatola temevo che il dispositivo fosse troppo piccino, invece le dimensioni sono quasi perfette. I tasti sono molto grandi, illuminati ed i numeri giganteschi. A soffrire è lo schermo, leggibile ma comunque piccolo. I tasti per il volume sono curiosamente situati a sinistra e non a destra, dietro è presente il tasto SOS ed in cima una lucina funge da torcia. - Schermo 4/10 Molto simile agli schermi anni 2000 per quanto riguarda la risoluzione, ovvero molto bassa. Il refresh pare decente, l'angolo di visione invece è terribile. In pratica se non lo si guarda frontalmente non si vede nulla. D'altronde non è il tipo di cellulare che si osserva di sguincio per vedere se sono arrivate notifiche. - Sistema operativo 8/10 Anche lui vecchia scuola, semplice ed immediato, senza tanti fronzoli. Non ho notato rallentamenti. A creare qualche disagio è sempre lo schermo, può mostrare solo 3 righe di testo rendendo la navigazione complicata in alcuni casi, specialmente con la rubrica. - Multimedia 4/10 4/10 perché molte funzioni sono pessime ma in effetti potrebbe anche essere un 10/10 in quanto non mi aspettavo cose del genere su un dispositivo di questo tipo. Il cellulare dispone di uno slot per schede di memoria. Lettore video: Pessimo. Provandolo con degli mp4 si sentiva solo l'audio, gli AVI 640x480 vengono letti ma scattano davvero parecchio. Se volete caricare dei video credo sia il caso di convertirli nel buon vecchio formato 3gp. Immagini: Purtroppo non è disponibile lo zoom, le immagini possono solo essere ruotate Musica: Il lettore mp3 è abbastanza decente Radio: Incredibilmente funziona anche senza cuffie collegate, l'antenna è interna. Si può impostare un mp3 come suoneria - Connettività: 10/10 Il campo è eccellente. D'altronde è un GSM, il segnale 2G prende benissimo ovunque. Il cellulare dispone di Bluetooth, si possono inviare e ricevere files o connettere degli auricolari. Collegandolo al PC tramite un cavo viene visto come archivio di massa, è quindi possibile caricare musica, foto o video sulla scheda di memoria. Per essere visti dai vari lettori, i files devono essere in cartelle specifiche che il cellulare crea sulla scheda di memoria, è comunque presente un file manager. Supporta 2 SIM. - Audio 6/10 Il volume è accettabile ma dovrebbe essere più alto, lo stesso discorso si può fare per il vivavoce. L'audio in chiamata risulta un pochino troppo metallico. Insomma, si poteva fare di meglio. - SOS 9/10 Il tasto SOS è strategicamente posizionato sul retro, in modo da non potersi confondere con altri tasti. Design eccellente. Si possono associare sino a 5 numeri scelti dalla rubrica. Stranamente le impostazioni per la funzione rimangono in inglese nonostante sia selezionata la lingua italiana. A volte qualcosa risulta essere più dell'insieme delle proprie parti e nonostante molti voti siano bassi in quanto considerati in valore assoluto, si tratta comunque di un ottimo prodotto. Tenendo conto di quello che offre sarei tentato di dare 5 stelle ma non voglio sottovalutare la questione dell'audio. Il volume dovrebbe essere più alto e la voce in chiamata più cristallina. Poter disporre di foto e video dei nipotini sul dispositivo è indubbiamente interessante ma avrei tenuto fuori alcuni funzioni ed usato un altoparlante di qualità superiore. 4 stelle.

Eccellente telefono per anziani, molto facile da usare e con tutto il necessario per le situazioni d'emergenza. Iniziamo con l'SOS, posto sul retro del telefono, che è possibile personalizzare in pochi istanti. Lo schermo è, ovviamente, un LCD a bassa definizione, non è bellissimo ma la sua funzione è quella di permettere le telefonate. I pulsanti sono abbastanza grandi e permettono di evitare false pressioni. Per il resto è il classico telefono per i nonni, utile principalmente a chiamare e ricevere chiamate. Ottima la batteria estraibile e lo stand caricabatterie.

Premesso che ho approfittato dell’opportunità di essere recensore Vine per prendere questo cellulare per mia madre che ha poca dimestichezza con gli schermi “touch”. Il telefono è molto leggero arrivato nella scatola dí libretto di istruzioni dotato di batteria sostituibile , alimentatore e adattatore da mini a nano sim, d’altronde ne utilizza il formato obsoleto. Note pratiche: la ricezione del segnale è ottima, anche perché sfrutta le due bande 2G e 4G la cui copertura è sempre assicurata e non supporta il traffico dati. Si sente bene sia in ascolto che in parlato. La multimedialità è ridotta a quello che si può memorizzare nella micro sd (non inclusa) e che sinceramente io non ho testato, perciò non posso dire nulla sulla compatibilità con i vari formati. Ha anche la radio e devo ammettere che la ricezione è molto buona: prende praticamente quasi tutto anche senza cuffia inserita. Il volume può risultare anche assordante se non si regola opportunamente! Il libretto d’istruzioni a corredo comunque è stampato bene, in italiano corretto, e molto chiaro. Concludo: è un telefono e basta! E il suo lo fa benissimo, non si può pretendere altro, la batteria dura tantissimo, può gestire 2 SIM, ha il tasto SOS dove memorizzare i numeri di emergenza, la torcia, un organizer primordiale… che cosa volere di più? Mia madre lo trova “giusto” e questo mi basta!

La forma è ergonomica, si tiene bene in mano e i materiali non sono scivolosi. I tasti sono la sua caratteristica più importante: sono grandi e ben distanziati, con numeri e lettere chiaramente visibili. Questo è un enorme vantaggio per chi ha problemi di vista o di destrezza manuale. Il display, pur essendo monocromatico, è molto chiaro e leggibile, mostrando l'ora, la data e le informazioni essenziali in caratteri grandi. La filosofia di questo telefono è la massima semplicità. Le funzioni sono ridotte all'essenziale: chiamare, inviare messaggi, usare la torcia e impostare la sveglia. Questo elimina ogni possibile confusione per l'utente. La funzione SOS è un'aggiunta cruciale per la sicurezza. È un pulsante fisico, ben visibile sul retro del telefono. Una volta premuto, chiama automaticamente una serie di numeri di emergenza preimpostati e invia un messaggio di testo con la posizione dell'utente. Questo dà una grande tranquillità sia all'utente che ai familiari.
