first time with water-based stain and i like the results better
added 4to1 of water and covered more area than i anticipated. (i prefer lighter stains) i like the shade. Have to be quick though to have even shade on large surfaces. i had some one rub excess with paper towel after 1min and it blended well. happy with the results. let it dry for 24hrs. then i used epoxy resin to seal it (the epoxy i got does not work with oil based stain). water based stain alone does not work for outdoors, i think. it has only been 2 weeks since application.

Great for dolls house furniture making
Brilliant little tester pots of wood dye. I'm seriously in to making dolls house furniture and these give me an economical way to try different colours. The light rosewood is lovely, I also tried an undercoat of rosewood with a top coat of light oak and that was just perfect.

Sehr gutes Ergebnis
Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Farbe ist gut in das unbehandelte Holz eingezogen und hat ein schönes Farbbild hinterlassen. Die Farbe wurde bei einem nicht demontierbaren Möbel im Haus gestrichen. Die wenigen Farbklekse die daneben gingen ließen sich sehr gut entfernen. Die Farbe ist schnell getrocknet und sie hat nicht gerochen. Also alles wie beschrieben.

... sind wir von der Farbe. Sie lässt sich gut aufbringen, schon ein Auftrag genügte uns. Es entstand kein unangenehmer Geruch und der Farbton hinterlässt ein harmonisches Bild! Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Littlefairs water based wood stain ROSEWOOD
I was a bit apprehensive as it stated light rosewood but with wood stains you just do more coats till you get the depth of colour you want, i wanted the nice warm rosewood colour and this did'nt dissapoint, i did 4 coats and the colour is rich and warm with that lovely 'ROSE' wood colour, i gave the bottle a good shake then poured a little into a small empty cleaned jam jar and using a soft paint brush, brushed it on to a pine table top in long lengths following the grain and now the old pine table top is totally transformed, i lightly sanded the wood before staining and before doing the last coat i again lightly sanded as sometimes staining can lift the grain a bit, it did'nt leave any awkward marks or blobs if i overlapped, i gave it a few hrs between coats to thoroughly dry, brush was realy easy to clean with just water, and bonus there is still nearly a whole bottle left.
