I bought two twin XL to put in my guest room for my grandkids. I plan on building a loft bed for them. But my daughter came over and she and her spouse are used to sleeping on a king bed. If you lay them side by side and put a king mattress cover and sheets on them, you will never know you are not on a king mattress. I have slept on them many times with the two grandkids when they were laying side by side as a king and my daughter and her husband slept on them. Everybody says they are very very comfortable. I like having the two twin XL for the versatility of being able to separate them for the kids or put them together as a king. I bought a twin allerease mattress cover before I realized that they make a twin XL mattress cover. So ignore the fact that one of them is shorter than the other in the picture, it's only because I have it crammed in too small of a cover. And ignore the coke spill on the carpet, but do buy a waterproof cover for them, if you have messy grandkids like I do, lol. I ordered the 8-in, and it is actually about 7 and 1/2 to 7 3/4 of an inch deep. But a 2x4 is a half inch shy of 4 in and try buying an 8x10 rug for your living room, and you're going to get all kinds of inches shorter or longer on that! Many many things in life are not exact. I first felt the mattress was a little bit firm when I first laid down on it, and then 8 hours later I woke up thinking, "well I guess it was just right", lol.

I guess I'm going to write a whole essay about this mattress, because I'm bad at time management. I bought an 8" twin. When I've visited my parents the last few years, I've slept on an old spring mattress. I'd guess it's around 20 years old. It was comfortable enough to fall asleep, but I'd wake up every day with horrible pains in my back and shoulders. I never felt rested. I'm a side/stomach sleeper (arms usually under my pillow/face), and my arms would fall asleep and ache. On my most recent visit, I decided I'd had enough. Since it's not home for me, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I have a Leesa at home, but they're pricey! I have some other random Amazon foam mattress in my guest room, and it's pretty comfy, but has gotten more expensive since I bought it, so I resorted to browsing the cheapest current options. That brought me here. I opened the mattress according to the instructions on/in the box. It immediately puffed up to around 6", then 7" around an hour later. ('Okay,' I figured, 'if it stops there it'll still be fine'). It says to let it 'rest' in a well-ventilated area, so I opened the windows and turned on some fans. There was a pretty strong chemical smell right when I opened it (to be expected), but that dissipated quickly. There was none of the mold/mildew smell others have mentioned, and I'm pretty sensitive to those things. Around 12 hours later, it was still 7". ('Well, the reviews warned me about this. I know this might happen. Whatever.') About 24 hours after I opened it, I put linens on it, then about 12 hours after that (36 since opening), I slept on it. It felt great! No shoulder pain. No arms-falling-asleep. Others mentioned overheating and I usually sleep pretty hot, but I didn't notice anything unusual (unlike my guest room foam mattress, which is SO hot). It's soft but supportive. The next day, I measured it again, and it was actually 8"! I'm not sure when it finally puffed up all the way, and I wasn't really concerned about it, but I guess it's good it delivered on its promise. I've been sleeping on it for about a week now, and haven't had any issues. Definitely worth the money. If it stays as cheap as it is (I bought the 8" twin for like $110), I'll probably end up buying it again to replace another spring mattresses my parents have. I don't like it quite as much as my Leesa, but I can't put my finger on exactly why. I'd still go with that for my everyday option, but it's SO much more expensive. At this price point, I'd definitely recommend this one!

Its a great piece of matress, I paired it with the gas lift bed from zinus and it fits the bed perfectly. Pros - Decompressses in about a day Has a good firm feel to it with being too hard. It actually balances it really well, you don;t feel like you are sinking in, but its soft, it is firm, but not uncomfartable. Does not smell at all. Cons - Don't have any atm. Used it in my parents room and they are comfartable so thumbs up to the matresses, recommend getting either the 25 or 30 cm one.
