When I ordered this bowl I thought it was ceramic, but I am so glad it's made of a hard durable plastic. It's lightweight but super sturdy. It also has a grip ring on the bottom that keeps it from sliding on any surface. The size is perfect for mixing cookie and cake batter, whipping cream and pudding mix and so much more! This is a perfect bowl for anyone's kitchen and at the very reasonable price, makes a great gift.
