This little AUERVO travel sewing kit is honestly one of the best fivers I’ve ever spent. It’s proper compact, fits in the palm of your hand or slips in any pocket of your suitcase, but when you unzip it there’s a mad amount inside: loads of thread colours wound on proper bobbins so they don’t tangle, a bunch of decent needles in a little case, tiny sharp scissors, spare buttons, safety pins, even a needle threader for when your eyes are knackered after a long flight. Saved me loads of times already – fixed a ripped hem on my jeans in a hotel in Prague, sewed a button back on the missus’ coat in Edinburgh, and sorted the kid’s teddy when the seam split on the plane. Threads are strong, don’t fray or snap like the rubbish ones you get in hotel kits. The only slight downside is the scissors are a bit on the flimsy side, they’ll do for thread and light fabric but don’t go mad trying to cut denim with them. Still, for the size and the price it’s an absolute no-brainer – chuck it in your washbag or glovebox and forget about it until you need it, then it’s a proper hero. Get one, you won’t regret it.

This is a great set in a handy case, with all of the things you need for sewing badges on jumpers - side note, Cubs and Brownies give out soooo many badges to your children! The threading tools are very useful and the needle store by size is helpful. The only negative is that finding the thread on a new reel is like, well, finding a needle in a haystack. Once you have done this, the set is good and a great way for introducing sewing to kids.

Maybe my own fault for buying a mini/travel kit....not suitable for what I needed it for (sewing badges on!) Needles feel so cheap & not strong at all. Has lots in.

I'm really pleased with this travel sewing kit. It's well stocked with all the essentials, including a generous range of thread colours, a few spare buttons, safety pins, needles, and other handy bits you always end up needing at the worst possible moment. The zip-up pouch is compact and practical, making it easy to slip into a suitcase or bag without taking up much space. Everything stays neatly organised and secure, which is ideal when you're on the go. Overall, it's a surprisingly complete little kit that's perfect for quick fixes while travelling or even for keeping in the car or office. Great value and convenient.

It was my own fault - I expected too much! It started with the unpicker - I couldn't get the cover/top off and it was the fourth person I asked for help that managed to get the top off it. The needle threader gadgets are useful and the needles sort of ok but the thimble is far too shallow and kept falling off my finger. There are a lot of colours on the thread spools but not a lot of length supplied. The scissors are ok for cutting thread but don't think they would manage much more. The wallet holding all the kit is well made and very neat. Grouch - the few pins supplied are presented in a small cellophane packet which tears quickly and then what does one do with them. In my case I stuck them through a strip of paper and rolled it up so it fitted under the elastic loop. In general then, I managed to do the shortening skirt task albeit having to use two different colours of thread [length problem] and use the safety pins as extra pins - so I would not recommend this item for beginners.

Must have for travellers and those who is lacking space at home. Very Smart Selection of sewing essentials.
