Whirly Derby: The All Action Marble Racing Game | New Family Board Game, for 2-6 Players, Age 8+

This is a good quality game that anyone in the family can play. Every player has a certain number of marbles and each round you select how many you want to play that round. All the marbles get dumped onto the metal funnel and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ones that come out get their choice of the scoring cards for that round. Play continues for eight rounds and the person with the most points from the scoring cards wins. This is simple fun for everyone as you cheer on your marbles as the spin around the funnel hoping yours goes in first. It can also be used to teach basic probability of when to play more or fewer marbles that round. Highly recommended for everyone.

Super fun game. Quick to play, great for groups.

Really fun, great game for kids. It's really fun to watch the marbles race and it doesn't take much brain power, which can be great for when you have to keep the kids entertained but your brain is fried. Even so it's a little annoying to put together, I can never remember how it came out of the box so trying to put it all back is annoying. About half is made of metal and the rest is cardboard, which I wish was sturdier. Overall I recommend it!

My son loves marble run races so I thought he would enjoy this game. It is fun for the whole family! Very simple, quick playing, and exciting to see whose marbles win. Some strategy in selecting the number of marbles to race and when to reclaim used marbles. The tin marble well and finish line give a fun nostalgic feel. The paper stand and marble launcher may wear down over time or with rough users (smaller kids?). Should either happen, both would be easy to replace but I would have liked something a little more durable for the $25 cost. Overall, an exciting and fun game for everyone!

Fun game with marbles

This is an easy, quick, but VERY fun game! The adults continued to play after the kids went to bed!

I’m giving this board game 3 stars not because of the game itself but due to the poor packaging appearance from the logistics team. There was no option for ‘Amazon Packaging,’ and I tried contacting the seller/customer service to request a box, but couldn’t reach anyone. When the parcel arrived, it was shipped in a paper bag and I immediately knew the box would be damaged. Unfortunately, the corners were indeed dented, even though the contents inside were fine. I’m quite disappointed because I always keep my board game boxes in perfect condition. ---- About the game itself, it’s definitely fun. It’s a very family friendly game, and my 4 year old daughter is able to play it easily and understand the rules. The quality of the components, including the cards, marbles and everything else is top notch. Any game from Big Potato Games is always superb!

I've really enjoyed playing this game. The rules were well-thought out and it's a simple concept made fun and challenging by the rewards/trophy system, rerolls, and addition of the Thunder Ball. It's one of those games that gets people shouting and cheering and adds some great energy to a game night.

We enjoyed the game. It was very fun to play and it's definitely different than some of the other games ww played. It is a fun marble game. The only issue I had was the plate in which you roll the marbles around kept moving when you toss the marbles into it. So I needed to keep resetting it back on the platform. Maybe there are a way to keep it in place that I am unaware of. I took a star of because of that but everything else seems quite well.

Great game! Good fun, my family enjoying betting and cheering on their marbles. Along with the marbles on the board and the shouting it does get rather noisy! However, as the base is made of card (granted it is sturdy card) each time we use it and put it away I worry about the longevity of its life. We have had it about 6 months now with multiple uses and it’s still going though….so I’d definitely buy it again even taking this into consideration.

My family love playing this game, adults and children alike. Our 6 year old loves it and so does our 11 year old nephew, 12 year old niece and parents in their 60's so it's got good age range. It's a simple game that you can make harder if you want. It's a good quality and has stood many play throughs already although we've only had it a few months. We play "The Lone Ranger" theme or "Horse Race Trumpet Fanfare" when we launch the ball for an extra laughs. It's gone on holidays etc and so while it was a bit more costly than I'd like but with how much we've played it and it's limitless "replayablilty" I would say it is good value for money.
