Brilliant TV
Perfect TV. I have a small room but with it on a wall mount - it's great for what I need. I thought it was easy enough to set up. Just a small fight with Disney+ app, but that was easy enough to work around. The sound isn't terrible to me, but I might very well end up investing in a sound bar in the future. For now, it was an excellent buy. I think the already installed apps are brilliant and you can add ones you want. Plenty of points to attach your consoles, a dvd player etc which I think is important. The picture quality is crisp and clear. All in all, a very happy customer.

Excellent picture quality, very easy to set up, superb value
A very nice TV that was super easy to set up using a QR code set up, the picture is sharp with natural colours , it's a really slim TV too and the size is perfect for a bedroom or small living room. The TV stands were easy to attach and the smart TV stands sturdy , the slim design and thin edging around the screen give it a modern stylish look. The in built speakers sound great for a small TV the sound quality is good and the television is certainly loud enough with clear dialogue and music during movies and programmes. I think it was one of the easiest TVs to set up and the menu and navigation is really easy with the apps easy to select and navigate such as Amazon prime and other apps. I have it hooked up to a console too , using the remote control it's easy to select source and HDMI 1 to access console straight away or just leave it on the menu to watch programmes using the apps menu. The TV is superb value compared to other similar televisions , it's a bargain and really good quality, the picture is sharp , colours stand out , it's a slim design, easy to set up, a good quality remote control and decent sound quality. Perfect size for a bedroom or to use with a console on a desk.

Respectable picture quality with a Trojan horse OS
Kitchen is being redesigned and we wanted to incorporate a 32โ smart TV that provided Freely, had a Fire OS so that it could integrate with our Alexa enabled devices and support our eufy camera feedsโฆ. Oh and all in FULL HD. This TCL 32โ model (32SF560-UK) was NOT our 1st choiceโฆ. Unfortunately, it was our ONLY choice that met the criteria at Full HD 1080p resolution. Itโs worth noting that we looked at alternatives first - we even tried the Amazon echo hub (I know itโs not a TV, but we had compatibility/consistency issues) and we did consider the latest 21โ Amazon echo show, but even at *gasp* ยฃ400 price tag, it doesnโt have Freely TV, nor do any of the actual Fire TVโs. So, unless we went for a larger sized Panasonic TV (Panasonics all have Fire OS and Freely, except for the 32โ), for the current price of ยฃ140, this TCL TV was worth taking a gamble on. 1st thing to note when you unbox itโฆ. Itโs incredibly light. It only weighs 3.4kg and should be easily supported by the majority of small wall brackets (with VESA 100x100 mount size). You definitely donโt need any heavyweight brackets specifically advertised for 32โ TVs. The 2nd thing you notice is that the lower section of the TV is quite thick in comparison to the overall size and upper part. It measures 7cm deep at this lower part - why? Possibly to incorporate the inputs and power, but also the stereo speakers (that point downwards). I donโt have too much experience with TVโs of this size in regards to speaker quality, but given the size of the speaker housing, I was surprised that the speakers werenโt better sounding! They are just so underwhelming. Once you get everything mountedโฆ the next steps are ; software update (crucial, otherwise BBC iPlayer wonโt work), internet connection (via WiFi or Ethernet), channel scans, linking to your Amazon account and other devices etc, creating or logging into itvX account (otherwise you wonโt be able to watch ITV channels on Freely). Plus any other apps or streaming services such as Netflix, etc. We had no problems in enabling our eufy security cameras and doorbell with the TV. The good (and bad) thing about Alexa voice commands with this TV is that you interact with the TV via the press of the voice button on the remote. You donโt need to say โAlexaโ or โechoโ first. Just press and hold the button as you speak. Therefore, if you have another echo device in the same room, you wonโt cause any confusion between the two whenever you say โAlexaโ. But of course it means you have to have the remote nearby all the time if you want to interact with the TV with verbal commands. Picture quality is totally acceptable. Itโs 1080p and noticeably better than the 32โ 720p models I looked at in the high street shops. Although itโs never going to compete with an OLED TV for depth of colour or broad viewing angles. The key thing is, itโs pretty decent for the screen size - especially considering current price tag. HOWEVERโฆ. (no decent balanced review should exist without a โhoweverโ)โฆ..There ARE a number of negatives; Whilst the 1080p picture quality is โokโ, this only the case if viewing from fairly straight on. Soon as you go about 30 degrees off centre either direction, the colours begin to desaturate significantly! Unfortunately, this is inherent to these low end LED/LCD tv screens and youโre not going to avoid this even with other brands unless you bump up your budget. Aside from this, my two biggest disappointments with the TV is that 1) it does take a while for it to start upโฆ. Itโs like an old PC thatโs reached retirement age speed in loading and starting up. 2) Once itโs all turned onโฆ you have to endure an endless stream of Amazon product adverts until you press a channel or app on the remote control. Is this why this TV is relatively so โcheapโ? Have I just paid Amazon for them to show me their adverts or 3rd party adverts in my own home? Paying for a TV that force feeds you adverts via the operating system isnโt what I signed up for. Itโs worse than turning on your โnormalโ TV and the default channel is always one of those late night shopping channels. From what I understand, โecho Showsโ have a similar issue, but on a smaller scale. Fortunately when placed on standby and itโs turned on again, it doe go straight to your last channel. But if I had known this what it means to have an Amazon โFire OSโ on my TV, I may have waited another 6 months and researched other alternatives. But the saddest thing for me about this Fire OS isโฆ. now knowing that I may never revisit my favourite TV brand again when we look at upgrading our old main Panasonic TV in a few weeks time. I really want to give this a 3 star or lower rating. But once Iโm reminded that this is currently the ONLY TV on the market (that I found/know ofโฆ I challenge you, tell me of another!) that is 32 inches, full HD and has Fire OS and Freelyโฆ then perhaps it deserves better.

Bad compatability with Majority Snowdon II soundbar and remote.
The vesa 100x100 mounting holes are quite low on the back of the TV so bare that in mind if you're buying this to replace a much older tv which might have a larger format vesa mounting system that is high up on your existing tv, the mounting holes have a raised lip and cause mounting arms not to sit flat so it's easy for them to shift and sit offcentre thus it's a bad design for those with tilting mount arms for a wall mounted rail, it won't affect a mounting plate however yet this means a bit of faff with you being required to test fit the mount to make sure the tv sits straight and isn't lifting to one side. The lightweight design is very nice so mounting it to a wall rail is easy, the screen is incredibly bright and the speakers are ok but not the best quality, the wifi connectivity seems to be pretty good but I will be wiring in a ethernet cable for a more solid connection with wifi being a backup. I have a Majority Snowdon II soundbar and the remote interferes with this smart tv - Button presses on the soundbar remote correlate with the action from the soundbar and also mirror a channel number press on the provided fire remote, there is no fix around it and thus im forced to endure forever pausing video and audio everytime i adjust the sound - I didn't have this problem with my old TV, and even using the soundbars IR code to implement control with the tv remote and following all the suggested steps to remedy the issue it still persists. The remote and tv have no customisation in the form of disabling the channel control buttons - Im using this purely for amazon prime video and mirroring video from my pc and nintendo switch. Having to go to the main menu to enter the actual full options/settings menu is a bit of a pain, I don't have an aerial connection as everything moved to digital a decade ago so the channel feature feels completely useless and ill-thought. For the price it's a nice affordable TV, but its compatability with Majority soundbars and remote interference is rather frustrating and poor. You can enable and customise a through-control system with the soundbar but the manufacturer isn't listed or found by this tv so i'm using a generic profile it generated that gives me basic sound control, I really wish they would of included some way to set the IR controls onto a different frequency so the two remotes i have don't interfere. The instruction manual and support from TCL is pretty bad - I'm having to use chapgpt to tell me about features. EDIT: 8/3/2026 after just a few months the TV died, and please note I was not using it everyday or for many hours, in the first week of ownership I watched a lot of The Grand Tour maybe 2-3 hours a day and after that I used it every other night for an hour or two before going to bed, and something on the power supply board had failed and it blown the plugged 5A ceramic fuse, i replaced the fuse but the TV shown zero life and would not power on at all so i've returned it. I replaced a 14 year old Hannspree TV for this, so i'm really disappointed in the lack of quality of components used in the assembly, that combined with the fact this TV produces a horrible constant hum when using it with my Snowden Majority II soundbar which works perfectly with other devices via bluetooth and optical.

Great TV that actually operates as a media centre
Used this to replace an old 22 inch monitor for PC. I'm a bog standard PC user - not a single pixel design guy, so just need a nice big display. Decided a TV was the way to go - - so went for the 32inch model - as that gave me everything I needed in my home office. I set it up - attached to a KVM - and receive crystal clear PC display at 1920 x 1080, used the Freely app and get seamless transition to Live TV across both the internet delivered (BBC, ITV, C4 and 5) as well as over the air for the rest. Fire TV provides the option of all the apps you need for TV reception, and lastly installed Kodi to stream from home storage. The functionality in this TV - for the money you pay - is simply off the chart. QLED quantum dot works a treat, freely is better than I expected for live tv, kodi (as a client) plays everything I throw at it, and the PC output works spot on. The add-on of being a FireTV means I also get access to Prime and Netflix (as well as Disney+, Paramount+, Sky Sports etc. apps as well) if I want. So picture wise - great presentation with the QLED setup. Sound wise - as you would expect, perfectly happy for home office but not for living room (but we all know pair with a soundbar and all good). Speed wise - nice and snappy with the combination of FireTV interface and Freely interface. No doubt about it - this has become a fully fledged media centre, as well as PC output - and all for ยฃ130. TCL and HiSense are really showing how much bang for buck you can get if you ignore the big boy hype. Yes its not OLED, it will not suit a home cinema etc etc. but if you just want a really good TV with loads of bells and whistles - I would not look past this one.

Good TV with serious software problems
This is a good TV And would have deserved a 4.7. However, It has some serious problems with its software. Most likely the issues are With the Fire TV/Freely Rather than TCL Nevertheless It is extremely annoying when you're trying to Use this TV in real life. For examplr; 1- most importantly for me With hearing difficulty It is strange that you cannot Have both the loudspeaker And the earphones operating at the same time So if I am in a room with other people I can hear the TV And so can the others. In this TV You can only put it either on the TV speaker or Headphones but not both. and more strangely, you cannot change from the loudspeaker to earphone or vice versa using the remote control you have to physically pull out or push in the earphone plug into or out of the connection socket hidden at the back of the TV!!! 2-there is no way to schedule programs that you want to watch or record on that day or subsequent days as is the case with my 19 year old Grundig TV, Freeview and most other smart TVs. 3- The software has a mind of its own And there is no manual to know why on earth is it doing that!
