MacBookのバックアップにちょうどいい

Works perfect, I store alot of information and so far I've had no problems, it's been 6 months or so now.

使用数ヶ月でPCに認識しなくなりました、 データが戻せず、高額な買い物だったので、切ないです

バックアップ用で購入したので使用頻度は月1くらいだったのですが、 1年も経たずに壊れました。 保証期間で交換手続きはスムーズでしたが、 データは戻ってこないので残念です。

今年に Buffalo 5T購入して使っていたんだけど、 MacBook Air の TV アプリでデータを視聴しながら撮りためデータを取り込んでいたら・・・ プツンと・・反応しなくなった・・焦る ディスクにアクセスできなくて、再起動するとディスクはマウントされない・・ ディスクユーティリティ開くも、Buffalo の HDは認識されず・・どうもお陀仏となったもよう。 ケースを買ってきて中のディスクを取り出して使おうとショップに相談にいったら「Buffalo の HDは独特で市販のケースに入れても認識しない・・という情報がある」と聞いてめげた。 WDのディスクはこれまでも愛用してきていて安心なんだけど、たまたま Gen.2 な Buffalo のディスクに浮気したのがいけなかったのか・・ ということで、WDの 5Tを急遽買って過去ディスクからデータ復旧しました。 Buffalo に追加したデーターは・・諦めます。 メーカーに送っても中身消えたディスク送られてくるものなんだし、その上送料やら修理費用やらかかるのは悔しい。 それなりの価格で買ったのでちょっとイラっとするけど、しかたないです。

初の5TのポータブルHDD。これまで補助のバックアップ用として整備済み品とかも試してみたけれど、これは比較対象がナンだけど、書き込み速度も速くてこりゃなかなかいいわ～という感じで、補助じゃなくメーンに使えるなと。 ★一個分減は、お値段が少し高いから。円安とかの影響もあるから仕方ないけど、本来は２個同時買いして補完し合う運用をしたいので、そうなると少し重い価格。予算的に時差買いすることにしてるので、まぁそれくらい印象の良いポータブルHDDだということは言えるかな。

HDD本体のポートはmicro USBで変換ケーブルを使ってUSB-Cと接続できるといった製品です。紹介写真のケーブルと違います。HDD側がUSB-Cだと勘違いをする恐れがあります。購入者は注意してください。

Un ottimo prodotto, già utilizzato nel corso degli anni. Solido, affidabile, sicuro. Non ha la velocità di una SSD ma offre garanzie di durata e sicurezza.

Verwende die Festplatte nur als Ablage für meine Importieren Fotos in Lightroom um diese über einen Zeitraum noch aufzubewahren. Ich habe die Festplatte verschlüsselt und verwende sie mit macOS. Geschwindigkeit ist halt wie für eine USB Festplatte vollkommen in Ordnung. SIe wird etwas warm was auch nicht ungewöhnlich ist. Preis war hier um knapp 20 Euro mehr als bei der zweiten die ich nun für die Timemachine bestellt habe. Für meine Zwecke ausreichend und bin vollkommen zufrieden damit. Über die langlebigkeit kann ich nichts sagen, meine andere Backup Platte für die alten LR Kataloge funktioniert nach wie vor einwandfrei sowie die paar 2 TB die ich verndet habe, ebenso.

This drive is semi-compatible with at least Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS, by which I mean that the drive works fine to transfer files in password-unlocked mode (which is how it comes out of the box), but to actually password-lock/unlock the drive, that must be done in Windows or Mac (with the on-drive provided software. From Windows it seems to preserve a password unlocking as long as power is maintained to the drive, which for me, is preserved on restarting, such that I can unlock in Windows and reboot into Linux and use the drive there also until I completely cut power, at which point it re-locks. I am very pleased with it. At first I was reluctant to use 'old' technology for my backups, but I am refreshed with the experience: the transfer rate isn't very fast, but adequate and consistent and therefore tolerable predictable (unlike the collapse in transfer rate which I typically see with flash storage devices as the transfer progresses).
