Does this tape have split backing so that the backing can be easily removed?

Revision: Yes, split backing is available at this tape. (My wife just confirmed, sorry for mis-info.)My wife shown me once and the tape doesn't have split backing. It's a one-piece long tape, best to gather whatever you want to print and make space between then print (Ours label printer model is Brother P-touch 1100L). If you print your label one by one then it will waste a lot of tape, because the empty space (about 1/4 - 1/2 inch) at the head and tail of each print is hard-coded and no way to adjust it.

Will this work with the P-touch 1880?

The model that I have is the T2030 P-Touch, so I don't know if it will work on your model. Look it up on the Brother website.

Can these labels dishwasher safe?

I didn't order tape from this site, but yes, if it's the brother TZ laminated tape it has been dishwasher safe in my dishwasher. I labeled some Tupperware a few years ago, and surprisingly, after many runs through the dishwasher all of the labels have held on tight without any peeling edges.

Does this work with the PT-1280?

Yes, the will work in the PT-1280
