Hilarious, I just got an email from Amazon saying that my AC shipped yet I can look over and see it already installed in my wall. I ordered it late in the evening on Tuesday and I had it by noon on Wednesday. Today is Thursday... I clearly live very close to their distribution warehouse. This thing works great, set it on auto and cooled the room right down. If it went on during the night it sure was quiet, I didn't wake up at all, due to noise or being too hot. When I ordered this I looked at three things, the size, 115 volt, and a remote, I didn't look at much else so I was happily surprised it included all sorts/sizes of foam to get a good seal around it. I thought I'd have to go to the store and purchase some but this really has everything you need; including batteries for the remote. Great bang for the buck.

For an unknown manufacturer to us this air conditioner is magnificent. It has replaced our 30 year a old one. It does the job and more. Highly recommend.

Cools my dinning area and living room very well which is about 500+ sq ft! It fit perfectly through the wall where my previous ac was. The dimensions in the product images were accurate which matched my previous ac dimensions. Very easy to install after I removed my old ac unit.

Leave it to Amazon to help me find the "hard to find" through the wall air conditioner as a replacement for an old Emerson that was toast! I also bought the sleeve that goes with this product, had a professional install it and it's all good. One note however, the remote doesn't seem to correspond exactly with how you might like to cool your room. I found the best way for me was to manually turn off the energy saver, set the unit to "cool", set the fan to medium and it works perfect. You can use the remote to set the ideal temperature for your taste & comfort & turn it off from the remote as well. Experiment until you find your comfort level. The unit is moderately quiet, it does move between cycles with humidity buildup and cooling so read your manual carefully to understand what is going on before you think something is broken. Chances are your unit is working properly just internally changing modes while cooling and removing moisture. The inside/outside temperature will also reflect this.

I bought the Keystone for my apartment as a wall a/c unit. I was surprised at how quiet the A/C was compared to the Frigidaire that I previously owned. I've experienced a couple of humid, 80 degree weather and this A/C has kept my apartment cool with ease. I like the remote control feature, "follow me". The remote has its own thermometer and as long as it is in range of the A/C you can set the remote to be the thermostat vs the A/C itself. I'm so far pleased with the purchase.

I like this A/C with one exception: the air directional louvers can point in any direction except DOWN! Most through-the-wall air A/Cs are installed 24 inches from the ceiling. If you are short or in bed it cannot blow cold air directly on you.

Its compressor is fairly loud. (Posted video) It makes this refrigerator buzz sound when the compressor comes on. Sounds like an old fridge or even like an old electric heater. It's tolerable but annoying. I still like it better than the Friedrich 10000 btu in-wall item at this price point though, which I also tried and thought was even more noise that had a bass-like character. This noise on this unit passes the earplug test. But if you have to wear earplugs in order to sleep with this thing, it can't be very good. Otherwise I like the remote which has a backlight and cool features. The AC also seems to miss the mark on temperature. My old AC (a Gibson that lasted 10 years) was very quiet and always managed to make my room thermometer match the temperature to which I set the AC. This one falls short a degree most of the time. Seems this price point doesn't produce good/quiet ACs anymore. Maybe I'll go portable instead. Who knows. UPDATE: What I wrote up there was August 2017. Now its JUNE 2020 and the unit is being replaced. The compressor runs and runs and runs but the thing just doesn't cool anything down anymore. Making hissing noise - maybe refrigerant leak? I called it correctly in 8/2017 - a one star or two star AC. Will try Frigidaire 12000 btu next. (ffta123wa1)

Soup to nuts; Installation took all of 15 minutes, as I was replacing an existing through-wall unit. More time was spent moving furniture than the actual task of "out with the old, in with the new". The unit is quiet, clean, reliable and very effective for us. The "dry" cycle works quite well as here in Cleveland we frequently have hot and humid weeks - setting the temp at 70-72 and in dry mode has kept the humidity down and temp comfy. I would recommend having help installing the unit. It isn't that heavy or awkward but should be considered a two person job especially if your through wall sleeve is mounted as many are, at 5'. Highly recommended!
