I love the Espoma products including this Berry Tone. I only wish they shipped more of their products to the west coast. I use this fertilizer on my raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries. All the plants look super healthy and I don't worry about my food with this organic fertilizer. It does have an odor, but you only smell it when applying it and then you end up with beautiful, productive plants. I wouldn't garden without it.

My blueberries adore this for bedtime snack. I feed them lightly in December after the''ve gone to sleep so the snow can dissolve it and carry it to the roots. I add acidifier more heavily at that time. I feed again more heavily with acidifier and Berry-tone just as they are budding in early April. The berries are huge and delicious. With routine correct pruning while they sleep and lots of mulch, we are supplied loads of blueberries. Immediately after picking, I spread them on a cookie sheet, blow off any fragments, and flash freeze without washing (only had rain on them). Then pour them in a vacuum sealer bag, finish and back to the freezer. The Berry-tone gives them the exact correct amount of food so you'll eat blueberries all year long!

Hard to tell how good a fertilizer is until harvest time. Berry-tone=Big yields, large fruit. Sweet and juicy-all our varieties doing well, including my golden raspberries. Fertilized 3 times prior to fruit ripening (early spring before flowering, 2 weeks later, then just as buds appeared). Amazingly sweet and prolific season! Froze 12 pounds already and more fruit coming.

These seem to be helping my strawberries produce larger fruit and more of them. My 1yo really appreciates this. As strawberries are his fav snack

This fertilizer works great and delivers excellent results for berry plants. That said, the smell is something to be aware of—it’s pretty strong and seems to be chicken‑manure based. It definitely attracts my dog whenever I use it. While the odor isn’t my favorite, the effectiveness makes it worth it. Just be prepared for the smell when applying and that is my only reason for giving this product 4 stars.
