Tapo 1080p Indoor/Outdoor Security Camera, C103, HybridCam

bought this Tapo security camera by TP-Link to keep an eye on my home while away, and it has far exceeded my expectations. For the price, the features and performance are unbeatable! Crystal-Clear Video & Night Vision: The 1080p/2K video resolution is sharp and detailed. Even in pitch darkness, the infrared night vision provides clear monitoring of the room. Smart Motion Detection & Alerts: Motion alerts send instant notifications to my phone whenever movement is detected. The person/pet detection feature works great and minimizes false alarms.

Absolutely love this. I bought it a while ago, just never really used it until now. But I really like it. I love all the features it has. Will definitely buy again in the future

Worked great for keeping an eye on my father who had dementia. It was helpful to be able to hang it up high in the open on the wall where he couldn't get to it during an episode in his sleep. Now we use them to keep an eye on the toddlers as they play in the playroom or their room. Can see everything clearly on the phone through the app and can hear them or talk to them as well. Very helpful to have these around!

only 20 usd, fairly easy set up, night vision works, you can customize the motion detection, but the sound detection never worked on mine, which is the whole reason I picked it, but it's only 20 usd with a great app with dvr if you add micro sd card.. if you hear a sound write a paper note then go back on the timeline to clip it

I had been using a Ring camera for a long time, but its slow response time prompted me to try out a cheaper model—and the performance exceeded my expectations. While the image quality isn't quite as good as the Ring camera's, the responsiveness is excellent; the Ring camera often failed to record fast-moving objects, whereas with this new camera, I actually caught a fox running across the yard for the first time. For now, I’m using a low-capacity memory card salvaged from an old phone I had lying in a drawer. There are so many different models available that it’s hard to decide which one to upgrade to, but the fact that there are no subscription fees is a major advantage. The downside is that the setup and operation are quite complicated.

This camera worked good when purchased. I bought 6 and only one had an issue that corrected itself when reset to factory. Now after two months all six have failed. They no longer stay online. I've confirmed that at least one continues to record to local memory and the others may too but they are fully disconnected from the wifi. To restore connection they require a power-cycle. This occurs every 3-5 hours. Once offline they do not self restore that I have seen. All six lose connection at the same time which suggest recent changes to firmware and/or how they maintain heartbeat to the server. I also purchased a different model camera that has pan-tilt. It has no issue so far and I am not allowing firmware updates on it. Buyer beware. You are not purchasing a tested and stable product. You will be the one that evaluates the updates when they are pushed out. TAPO is not selling a stable product. Even if it is stable when purchased it may not be a week later. Not what I expected from TP-Link.

Love it! I would like to move the camera, bc the outside cameras that you can move are expensive. But this one works pretty good for the money.
