These room thermometers work quite well for everyday home use. Whenever you can physically feel a noticeable change in the room's temperature or humidity, the gauge accurately and quickly reflects that shift on the screen. It is very helpful for monitoring your indoor environment at a glance. However, I did notice that there is a slight margin of error with the exact readings, so it might not be perfectly precise if you need absolute accuracy. Despite the minor discrepancy, it does exactly what it needs to do for a basic home setup.

These are terrific for my use. Easy to read and they let me know where wetness is in my 95 year old home that I was not aware of so I can take appropriate action to correct/fix same to prevent further potential moisture damage. I have 6 throughout my home and so small you forget they are there doing their job. Great asset if you have any type of moisture in your home you need to identify and take care of.

Two tank upgrades so we needed to ditch the awful "kit" thermometers and these were a perfect solution. We bought two 2-packs so each tank would have a reading on the hot end and the cold end. Out of the box they flash to self calibrate...or something. I believe the instruction card says they read every 10 seconds, but hard to know for sure. They do take a while to level out with the actual temperature after calibrating so it's not instant. We checked all four against a Kestrel inside the house and after about half an hour the temps were all about right on within a degree or so, and 3 of the four matched and the fourth was only a few tenths off. Humidity range is further off. My actual gauge was reading 45% and these were all reading about 35%, with my gauge having I think 3% margin of error and 5% for these guys, so with all that in mind it's within spec, just not SUPER accurate. If you need them more for temperature and just a general idea of humidity they're fine though, especially for more arid tanks. They're small, have little stands, and possibly a sticky pad but haven't bothered to take them back out and look. They're stable enough for smaller reptiles not to topple them but not so large that they get in the way.

They looked and worked just as they are designed!! Are apartments ac thermostat was messed up so I got us this to help keep track of the temp and add the humidity as well!! It took 3-4 mins for it to settle in but has been working great since! No batteries needed at least to start and going on 4-5 days now no issues. The blue color was amazing and just what I wanted! The material is plastic but made of good material and quality! I have one in the living room and one in the bedroom the temp may be off by a few degrees but it does tell you that when purchasing. The numbers are big and easy to see from 20 feet away with my eyesight! Thank you for a great product!!
