21 Pint Dehumidifier, 1500 Sq. ft Dehumidifier for Basement with Drain Hose

This unit may be small, but it does a tremendous job keeping my basement dry! I was expecting your average large and heavy dehumidifier so when I saw the box arrive I thought I was possibly sent the wrong item but after opening it up I realized this was just a more compact style of dehumidifier. The set up process took all of about 5 minutes with a quick glance at the nicely detailed start up guide and roughly 4 hours later, it was clear to me that this little unit is just as strong as my previous much larger models. Two great benefits this unit offers are, 1. It is so easy to move around or even transport to multiple locations if you happen to be a landlord with multiple rental units & 2. It is VERY quiet on the high speed fan setting and nearly silent on the low speed. The low volume is a big plus for me as I sometimes work from home and my home office is in my basement where this will be used. All around I am very happy with the item, price was great compared to other models I looked at, it is very compact and sleek/modern looking so it fits right in with my other appliances and electronics and lastly as I stated multiple times it is very easy to move/transport at about 1/3rd the size of a regular dehumidifier and probably under half the weight. I definitely recommend this to anyone with a space around 1500 sq ft that is in need of a dehumidifier, my basement is slightly larger than 1500 sq ft but it is keeping it nice and dry. So this review might sound like an unfair comparison, but hear me out. After my dad annexed my 70 pint Whirlpool following a minor flood at his house, I soon realized I was probably never going see it again, and due to the non-stop rain, the dampness in my own house had progressed to a rather uncomfortable degree. Looking to save a few bucks I began to consider these smaller compressor based dehumidifiers, and settled on this one. To be clear, my house is a tiny 625 square foot bungalow, and I'm blocking off a 10x10 bedroom which leaves 525 sq ft to contend with. That should be a piece of cake for a 1500 sq ft dehumidifier, no? Obviously my old 70 pint Whirlpool was a beast compared to this 21 pint unit. In damp weather, I have personally witnessed my old Whirlpool pull over 2 gallons out of the air after 24 hours. This Aiusevo? Theoretically at 21 pints it could pull two and a half gallons a day, but that's laughably optimistic. Instead, it runs quietly and persistently, and while it took nearly 3 times longer than my Whirlpool might have, it eventually dried out my home to a comfortable level. Pros: Small and light weight. Very easy to move around Quiet. Very quiet. Can't hardly hear it from the other room. Energy efficient. My Kill-a-Watt shows that it pulls well under 100 watts. Affordably priced. Much less expensive than my last unit. Cons: Takes much longer to dry things out than the big boys. Fan is weak. Really needs to be able to more more air. Can't keep up when you're cooking in the kitchen. Indicator lights are very BRIGHT. You might need some masking tape while sleeping. 1500 sq ft? I wouldn't recommend it. Over all, I do recommend this unit if you have less than 1000 sq ft and a little patience. I'm glad I bought it. Why did I dock a star? I don't know if my unit is defective or not, but switching between high and low fan doesn't seem to make any real difference. It's a pretty weak blower and "high" .

Doesn't have a large reservoir, so make sure to have a drain available for continuous run. Otherwise, it's small, quiet, and does what it should.

First, I live in subtropical weather where it’s humid between Spring-Summer-half of Fall. In the summer, humidity can be 75%. My ideal is 45%. I purchased this 1,500 Sq. Ft (21 Pints) Dehumidifier 15 months ago and I LOVE this thing! Even though it’s small, it has wheels you can add/remove to make it easier to move around the room. Portable and energy-efficient are ideal as I wanted something I can put on the floor or a table. So far, I have kept mine on the floor since it doesn’t take up space (it’s 16 inches tall with wheel; 15 inches without. Across it’s 9 inches wide. Depth is 6.875 inches). When it’s humid (60%-75%), I dump the water out twice a day—because it’s small, it’s much easier to maintain/manage. I prefer this over having to carry a big heavy bucket of water and spilling all over the place (the big ones are prohibitive—makes me lazy and unwilling to do the hard work, LOL). It does come with a tube if you want to hook it up to a drain. You can set and lock to your ideal humidity, or you can run continuously. These are the 2 settings I use, though there is also a timer (I did not test the timer). Fan speed is high and low. You should check and play with the settings because you can easily lock it. I was a little confused at first, as I couldn’t tell if it was locked to a certain humidity or if it was on continuous mode, but it’s my fault for not reading the manual. It doesn’t take a lot of time to figure out, but definitely play with it so you understand various settings. I lock mine at 45% as I don’t like it any drier than that. It will stop automatically if the water container is full so you don’t have to worry about leaks/overflow. There’s an indicator light that will tell you if it’s full (red) and needs to be emptied, or if humidity is high (green for dehumidifier on/running), or humidity is good (blue) and holding steady based on the locked setting. I added a short video of me dumping the water when container was 30% full. I highly recommend it if you’re in a subtropical climate and want something living room or bedroom-friendly (portable, manageable, and not an eye-sore). Space is 750 sq. ft and works just fine on its own. I track the humidity in every room using a hygrometer so am able to verify efficacy. I did contemplate spending money on a dehumidifier, but this was worth it. For one, it seemed cheaper compared to the other brands (I paid $140 at the time). The AC also doesn’t have to work as hard if you bring down the humidity, and this device is energy-efficient so it will save you money while bringing you comfort. I think this helped a lot with my allergies and can reduce sinus headaches from stuffiness. I mostly use it from Spring to Summer, and on rainy days in the Fall.

Works great but needs condensate (water) emptied (dumped on outside plants) every 10-12 hours if you can't use the "self drain" option. Had to check the low / high fan speed using a anemometers (yes I have one) because there wasn't much difference (2.7low and 3.3high). Reached out to customer service and that was correct (fan speed) because it's a smaller "home" unit, works as designed. The noise level is acceptable on High or Low. Only improvement would be an led down light in the reservoir to see the level in the catch tank. Photo - sitting next to a standard 20 inch box fan - level hard to see in a darker conditions. Because it's basically a "mini" ac unit (the instructions state that it does contain Freon and must be treated as such when repairing or disposal). It does generate some heat (no exhaust). It works way better than the "electronic heat sink" type of dehumidifiers.
