I have used every brand and type of brassiness remover or toner I could find. Even things that salons use, without much help. My hair just tends to want to be red brass. This product worked the very first time I used it, and it did it in a way that made my color look natural. It picked up on the different shades in my hair and instead of just turning it all one bright platinum, it actually made it look as if I had a very expensive highlight, lowlight, weaved color done. The product smells nice, not overpowering g but just enough to tease the senses. It’s thick and smooth, easy to apply. It’s easy to wait the 5-10 minutes because it is thick enough to not drip, smooth enough to apply evenly, and smells nice enough not to bother the nose. Rinsing is easy and doesn’t take long at all. If the color outcome wasn’t great enough, a bonus is how my hair feels after use. Before the first time I used it I have tried some really expensive all the way down to the cheapest products trying to repair my hair. After the last coloring my hair felt like it was straw and looked like every strand was split. After the very first use it felt soft, and clean and looked like it was healthier than ever before. It styled effortlessly, looked fantastic, and if you can’t tell, I am super pleased. So much so I started a subscription for it, only the second time I’ve ever done that because we all know that nothing really seems to be what we want every time, but I see this as something g that will be in my home from now on. Also, the price isn’t outlandish like most products. I just hope it stays that way.

I never write reviews. But I want to make sure that everyone knows what color your hair will be after using this. Blondes: keep reading if you want to make sure you don't turn your hair purple or gray. The context below was a big reason that contributed to the color I ended up with. Recently my blonde hair thinned out badly so I had to cut it short, and it changed from silky fine highlighted hair to damaged and fried color treated hair. Luckily (and with the help of minoxidil) it is growing back. I've tried several conditioners but as soon as my hair is dry, I have that finger-in-the-light-socket electrocuted look no matter what I've tried. This includes several deep conditioning masks. With that said, upon opening this MAREE conditioner I could easily see that the consistency had a thick magical quality that I was excited to try. It smells really good. Also important, I have used many, many purple shampoos as a natural blonde/dirty blonde with highlights. Recently (due to the hair thinning) I started to use foils for the whole head and the orange tint that sometimes happens is more noticeable. As noted, I've used these shampoos and conditioners before and have never experienced what happened in this conditioner. On the instructions it says to put on for 5 minutes to reduce brassiness, and up to 10 minutes for a more ashy or platinum look. I wasn't too worried as I've never seen much of a change in most purple products, and the last one I used, a shampoo by Moroccan Oil has had the most effect of any and that is pretty mild, even if leaving on for the whole shower. What happened with this MAREE purple conditioning hair mask is that I left it on for a longer amount of time, and my hair turned gray/ purple colored. Only where the blonder parts where, the darker "dirtier" blonde parts didn't change. I re-washed and it is still the same. The conditioning that my hair received was excellent, better than any others I've tried. So, I wanted to make sure to give a warning to the blondes out there that the 5-10 minute guidelines are a HARD cap. To be honest I find it difficult to know how long you should leave it for and what effect it will produce. Also, I like to leave the conditioner on for a very long time to really soften the hair, so you would have to then apply a different conditioner afterward I guess. I included a pic of my normal hair color with the sunglasses face and pic of the gray/purple hair. I've decided it would be better to just use a purple shampoo, and then one of their other non-purple conditioners that I can leave on as long as I want, which is what I'm going to try next. I'm hoping another one of their conditioning masks will have the same conditioning quality this one did, which was excellent. I also want to note they issued me a refund very quickly, which is the best customer service I've had buying anything on Amazon. Which is why I am going to try another non-purple conditioning mask from MAREE. To the company, I think better instructions and description of the outcome would be appropriate given the risk it will entirely change the color of your hair. That is my only recommendation as the conditioning aspect it really amazing.

This has really helped the huge mistake I made on my hair. Decided to go gray and stop coloring my hair. So I used product to strip the color. Then I decided I wanted a perm. Then I decided it wasn't white enough and used bleach. Wish I had before and after but it was a yellow straw hair. Much better now, but it's a fix until the damage grows out

This is such a creamy and beautiful scented mask. I left it in for 3 min. This time just to be cautious. Next time it'll be a bit longer. I can already see and feel the difference. Will follow-up with more pictures later. I recommend this and just remember start off slow until you understand the product on your hair.
