My daughter wants a pink pumpkin masks. But there is none. Can I paint this one with either acrylic paint or latex paint if I get one?

I’m not sure but let me say that I am a small adult and the mask is fairly large on me and needs some type of insert (like pillow stuffing) and it needs airing out. The mask itself is fine and isn’t expensive so personally and for my daughter I would buy the mask and try painting it. If it’s a child, the mask would be too large. Hope this helps.

Do you think this could be used as a display item, by sticking a light on the inside, and firming it up somehow?

I do not believe that would work well I think the light would be very hard to see on the inside. I think you could put like a foam ball in and prop it up but you’re better off just buying a pumpkin in my opinion.

How can we take the smell out?

I don’t think you can. I left it in my garage for a month to air out. That helped a lot, but it still smelled a little.
