Was hesitant to try a balm but it blends super easy & leaves skin extra clean after sunscreen use

I’ve been curious about the Recover c-PDRN ampoules from REJURAN for a while, mainly to use after my at-home microneedling sessions, and this ended up exceeding my expectations right away. For context, I usually needle at about 0.5–0.75 mm, so I get pretty consistent redness across my face and décolletage. Normally, even with something simple like hyaluronic acid, it takes around 24 hours for that redness to calm down. This time, I applied one of these ampoules right after my session, and by the next morning, the redness was basically gone! That’s not something I typically expect from a single use of any skincare product, so that was honestly surprising. For anyone not familiar, PDRN is derived from salmon DNA and is thought to support skin repair and regeneration. It’s been getting a lot of attention lately for post-procedure healing, and based on this first experience, I can see why. The formula itself feels very gentle. No stinging at all, which is a big deal right after microneedling. Even a lot of my “soothing” products can burn a bit on freshly treated skin, but this felt as comfortable as hyaluronic acid or centella for me. It felt very hydrating without being oily. I also really like the packaging. The individual ampoules feel hygienic, which is ideal for post-treatment use. They’re plastic rather than glass (thankfully), and the design is clever. You snap the top off to open it, then flip it over to reseal if you don’t use the whole thing. It is on the expensive side, which is the only real downside. I picked it up during the spring sale, but based on how well it performed, I’d honestly consider repurchasing at full price, especially for targeted use after treatments. I’ll keep using it over the next few sessions to see if there are longer-term benefits, but as a post-needling calming and recovery step, this made a noticeable difference right away!

I am one of the biggest skin care junkies on the planet and I can say very safely that this is a very solid product - as Most Rejuran products are. Background. I have aging skin, fine lines (and would have deep wrinkles, if I didn’t Botox them into oblivion), historically extremely acne prone, now post Accutane by about a month, and struggling with dryness in some areas and oiliness in others. Fun combo, right? Anyway, with all this going on, I had more or less settled on an oil cleanser for my skin. Now, first thing to know, is this cleansing balm acts very much like an oil cleanser. Actually has a pretty cool container where you twist the top to the right and a sliver of this thick, creamy balm comes out. The more you twist, the more balm comes out. You swipe it off with your finger and put it on your face. And this is where I start liking it more than my usual oil cleanser. Number one, you’re not sticking your finger in a whole jar of cream and getting it dirty and exposing it to air, light, etc. Number two, you can travel easily with this thing. I cannot imagine that it could possibly leak. Pump bottles almost always will get some kind of leak in a suitcase. With this, for it to leak, the lid would have to accidentally screw off, and you would have to turn it to the right. Impossible? Technically, no. Likely? Also no. If for only the reason of being able to travel without having to worry about leaking product, I would buy this again. I don’t know why more companies don’t use containers like this, but it’s great. I tried a side-by-side comparison of my regular oil cleanser and this balm, and results were basically identical. I had just tinted my eyebrows a day prior, and we all know how skin gets stained by dye. Both the oil cleanser and this balm performed equally well in taking off dye. I am religious about wearing tinted sunscreen, and it performs just as well as my oil cleanser in removing that too. It says it supposed to tighten your pores, but I can’t say that I really saw any difference between the two. Made my daughter weigh in as well, but she couldn’t tell any difference either. Not really a sticking point for me though. I love that this balm is unscented. Or if there is a scent, it’s definitely not strong enough that I can smell it. It feels extremely gentle on the skin - I would have loved having this back when I was on Accutane. This is definitely going to be my go-to cleanser for after chemical peels as it seems to be the gentlest cleanser I have encountered. Feels heavenly on really dry skin. So, in a nutshell. Performs as well as my absolute favorite oil cleanser, but has better travelability, and seems to be some more moisturizing. Definitely recommend.
