It may be worth 5 stars
I haven't fished with them yet. Both are just as well made. The rod has a lot of eyelets, which is great. The rod stays extended well with firm friction. The reel attaches firmly and the grip feels really nice. The reels really make this kit worth it. They are smooth and well thought out. The crank has a lock for the working position. No more limp noodle while trying to switch from left to right. It helps with strike feel because the crank is rigid. Many might think that a hot pink rod/reel is too girly. I can tell you that you won't lose it in the grass. I'm starting to appreciate the hot pink colour as my eyes age. The case is large enough to hold the rod/reel combo together in the ready position. Small tackle boxes fit on both sides of the reels, in the outside center. The clear plastic is nice for double checking what you forgot to bring. A lot of family and friends are getting this for gifts.

Good deal for sure
Nice carry bag, good selection of free baits and hooks, reels not sure haven't caught anything on them, they cast good, but don't trust drags that sound like that, but the rods are good to handle some big 5+lb Tilapia and a 20+ lb Pacu. Not sure the reels would of held up, however I will use them on smaller fish like stocked Trout and Bullheads. They did cast a mile with light line, oh yes for sure take that horrible line off and put good brand on. Sure they will work for as I said small fish that don't require a good drag. Bullhead are only 20" and that would be a good test on the drag when I get to use will update on the reels.

Nice Beginner Portable Rod/Reel Buddy Fishing Kit
What you should know: - The kit comes with (seemingly) medium-heavy carbon telescoping rods…good general size. The handle and reel mounts are all plastic, so it’s not the highest quality rod, but it rod feels sturdy and has a fast action. - The kit comes with a “3000” size reels…basic, but good general size. The reel has a metal housing, and plastic tension adjustment. - The rod and reel combo has a good “feel”; it has a nice and light weight and balance. The reel has a smooth and quiet operation. - The reels come wound with fishing line…but no indication of what type/strength. So assumingly 10-15 lb. nylon/mono…and it’s anyone’s guess whether the line is untwisted to minimize tangles…hopefully thouigh. - The lure/sinker/hook kits are nicely included. - Also not a big deal, but I wish there was an index/line on the rod to more quickly line up the guides when extending the rod…not expected for the price/quality of these though. - The rod handle (s) is just a little short...expected for portability. - It's a cheap nylon case but it works. Also, I like that the case is “freeform” rather than molded. It’s easier to thrown the rod in it, and also add accessories to the kit. - Two poles/reels in a small kit…great to keep in the truck for on-the-fly buddy/couple/father-son fishing. Bottom Line: These are, of course, affordable beginner rigs, but a good kit for the price, especially with two poles/reels…and portable enough to keep in the car trunk for ready availability.
