I've had a few projectors over the years and the thing that always frustrated me was needing total darkness for a watchable picture. This one is different. At 5000 lumens I can leave a lamp on or have some daylight coming in and the image still holds. That changed how much we actually use it. The laser light source is the other big thing. No lamp to replace later, and it's at full brightness the second you turn it on instead of warming up. Shuts down fast too, no cooldown fan running forever. Picture is sharp corner to corner. Text is clean enough that I've used it for work presentations without anyone squinting. Colors look natural, not oversaturated like some projectors push them. Setup took some patience getting the placement right, but once it's positioned the keystone and zoom handle the rest. Mine sits on a shelf at the back of the room. Fan noise is there but it drops below the audio once something is playing. Not silent during a quiet scene, just not distracting. This is a serious piece of equipment rather than a casual portable one. If you want a projector you'll actually use regularly instead of only on movie nights, the brightness is worth it.
