I used this on freshly washed, soaking wet hair and applied it in sections before diffusing. For reference, I have thick, textured curls that are very prone to frizz, especially in humidity. This gel gives a true strong hold without leaving the hair stiff or crunchy. Once fully dry, I was able to scrunch out the cast and my curls felt soft but still defined. The definition lasted throughout the day without puffing up. What stood out: - Excellent frizz control - Strong hold without flaking - Does not leave heavy residue - Keeps curl clumps intact - Works well in humid conditions It pairs well with a leave-in underneath and performs best when applied to very wet hair. A little goes a long way using too much can create a heavier cast, but that easily scrunches out. After drying, my curls looked defined, shiny, and held their shape without feeling dry. If you struggle with humidity or need a gel that truly locks in curl pattern, this one performs.

I want to be completely honest about my experience with this product. My hair was shedding heavily, to the point where I thought I might have to cut it. I decided to apply this gel to soaking-wet hair immediately after stepping out of the shower, and it truly lives up to its claims. This gel absorbs water exceptionally well and the more water in your hair, the better it performs. Once applied, the dripping stops and the product locks in moisture, leaving hair highly hydrated. Within seconds, my natural curl pattern began to reappear, even in areas with breakage. It revived my curls and significantly reduced shedding almost immediately. This product genuinely saved my hair. While it is somewhat expensive, the jar is a good size. That said, if multiple people are using it, it will run out quickly. The scent is wonderful, and I am very grateful this product exists. I have many positive things to say about it. However, it is important to note that this is not a styling gel for slicking down edges, they will curl back up. This is not a traditional hold gel; it is designed specifically to restore and define curl patterns. The only downside I noticed was a slight crunch once the hair dried. Aside from that, this product is a true lifesaver and works well on 4C hair. This is one of the few products that does what it says. This is my second bottle and I will continue to buy more.

I have recently started trying to do wash & go’s and heard very good things about this product. I definitely feel like it gives my hair great hold and can last for a week. The consistency is very jelly like & I use the product in conjunction with their curl to foam mousse to get an extra hold. The product definitely defines my curls easily when I first used it I was shocked that it was defining it. Definitely will buy again.

This is a good gel. I was looking for something to replace Innersense I Create Hold as I believe it caused some hair loss for me. I have 4A/4B hair. So far it is the best replacement I have found. I also use it on my son with his 3C hair. I get 4-5 days out of this, as opposed to my 7 days with the other. My son gets about 3 days, but he likes to wear somewhat of a fro. Gives some moisture and shine. I have used it on top of the Miche mouse and I think I prefer that to using the gel alone. Smells good, brings out my curl pattern, creates a cast but that softens over time. Easy to apply but I would emulsify it in the hands before applying to evenly distribute. I would also dry hair instead of letting it air dry. I use a hooded dryer. A little pricey but works. Overall, I would recommend this gel.

I love this gel! They were out of stock for so long, that I bought 3 when they came back in stock recently. I’m not no longer a leave in girly, so I like a gel that I can apply, used my hooded dryer and be done for the week. I apply this on soaking wet hair, and I use about a nickel size for the each section and that works for me. It’s does give my hair a gel cast, and makes me hair a teeny bit crunchy, but I like that as my hair lasts all week. Having a hard hold, and having your hair get bigger each day is the key to having your hair last for the week. This also smells good, and is non sticky.
